Guys as I said last year on this forum. I joined a Toronto Subaru dealer as a sales consultant and to-day was the 1st chance I had to test dive the STi all I can say is what a car or should I say what a hotrod. Hats off to the engineers that put this jewel together. Later

I am at Willowdale Subaru we have a nice white sti in the show room, just waiting for you if you are ready for a real perfomance jewel call me. If you are not ready for the STI I can always get you a great deal on any of our other great AWD cars. Oh yaw no you did not talk to me a few months ago, this was my 1st week you must have talked to some one else at another dealer. Later

I anit looking to buy an STi..I really don't feel like spending Ferrari money on brakes when it's not a Ferrari. 2k to do front brakes on one of these? I can do 355 brakes for cheaper. I heard they aren't selling to well either..dealers are clogged with them. Budds has 10 in stock I belive..and they can't move them. Marino's ( I was there today) has 5 in stock..can't move them.

Oh and if your are trying to solicite Ferrari owners to buy a Japanese car...your in the wrong Forum..

    Uro - they're Brembo brakes.

The shocker is that the STi is even more expensive in Canada - they wanted $50k Cdn for it this summer at Budds... I tried to look surprised when the salesman conceded things were slow. No crap, you charge too darn much!

Edit: $50k Cdn right now is $40.8k USD, or a good $7k USD more than the STi here.

The STI has some serious braking systems. Masive Brembo 4 piston calipers and sloted rotors from the factory..Magnisum wheels etc..quite the set-up. But definatly over priced for parts. Pads alone are 640CND..Rotors are 620CND each. Subaru had to lower the prices of the brakes because customers were complaining about it..This is one of the reasons they are sitting on dealer lots.

Yes, Brembo rotors can be quite expensive. The Track 350Z Brembo rotors are $500 a piece (so just at $2,000 like you said). The majority of the people with the Track get Stillen rotors for 1/2 that cost. OE parts are overpriced anyways. The Track 18" wheels are $1,500 each!

If in fact those dealers have all those STi in stock then they are very stupid business man. The insurance on the STi is out of reach for most young drivers. My dealer only stocks 1 at any given time. The list price is $47,900 and that is firm.
