I test drove the Bugatti Veyron

Today in Geneva we had the Bugatti Veyron available for test drive. I didn’t manage to take more pictures, unfortunately, due to the weather and the tight schedule. We had only an hour before it would start snowing and we really had to get going in order to have full grip.

What can I say about that car? Oh God.
The Bugatti chief test driver was there and he was with me in the car. You can actually see him getting in the car (fourth picture) to get it out of the showroom and to start the test drive.

The car we had is the very same car that was in Nevada (the white/silver).


The acceleration is immense to the point that I really felt dizzy. There is nothing I have ever experienced that can match or even come close. When accelerating, the car produces 1.3Gs of acceleration force. And when braking (without airbrake) it produces 1.7Gs. Now when you brake from high speeds with airbrake engaged, the brake force reaches 2Gs. I have never, up to this moment, experienced any of that mix before. Simply sensational!

Who said I didn't drive? Of course I drove. The test driver just showed me around and he drove initially to make me familiar with everything, then I took the car.

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to take more pictures because of two things:-
1- Time
2- Weather

My appointment was at 2PM. I arrived there and we were not expecting snow today. Then we realized that snow is expected within the hour. We had to take the car out fast in order to avoid snow while driving. Any more time wasted taking pictures means less time driving.

 

I don't think so. But around November I should be able to have access for one. My very close friend is getting one and we tend to exchange our cars a lot. He takes mine and I take his. We do this a lot.
He test drove the car on Monday and my test drive was Tuesday.

Bottom line, fortunately this drive wasn't my last one. I am very glad I will, in the near future, experience that immense acceleration and power once again.

 

The Geneva Motorshow has one Veyron at display, yes. But that one was not in the Motorshow, it was at the dealer.

 

That is Andrea Chevalley. They are the official Bugatti dealers now as well as Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Mercedes. They are no longer Ferrari or Maserati dealers. They are located in Meyrin. If you are in Geneva, you can go see the car. It's there in the showroom for two more days I guess.

 

Not that women-ish if may say, though.

We are just very close friends and we actually act and behave like brothers.


Of course, when he takes delivery of the car I will take video clips, pictures, audio clips, etc....

Yes, I was in the Ferrari/Maserati one wich is next door. But it isn't anymore. They moved Bentley to that showroom along with Bugatti.

Andre Chevalley has two showrooms in Garage de l'Athénée. The first (big) showroom is for Mercedes, Rolls Royce, and Bentley. The second (small) showroom is Ferrari and Maserati.
Now that they are not the dealers anymore for Ferrari and Maserati, they moved Bentley along their newly acquired Bugatti dealership to the second (small) showroom and left the first (big) showroom for Mercedes and Rolls Royce.
