Spicy and I ended up going to the Shorex convention in Shanghai today. The local Lambo dealer had a yellow Murci spider on display. Spicy spent half an hour talking to him while I was off buying an esspresso machine off another display, but that's another story.

Now she's said that we don't need a 4th Ferrari, but that a Lambo in the garage would be nice. She wants to drive on of each (Countach, Diablo, and the Murci) before she makes a decision. What ever she chooses, its going to be her car.

I'm not planning on selling any of the Ferraris, but it looks like we might be increasing the number of flavors of our cars...

Not to worry.... many of us have .... and you will be in good company
    :)

CT and Diablo are demanding of the driver and require your full attention when driving - if Spicy is going to be using the car, the Murci may be better, as it is more civilized. Another consideration for her would the Gallerdo. Keep us posted and good hunting.

Frank - it is just a matter of time - all of us fall over to the other side sooner or later... Even the Judge :)

I would also look the Gallardo - worth a drive - much smaller and more nimble than the murci - however less pull than that big 12 as well....

If I had a say in the matter, my preference would be a black/tan Diablo. But I don't. It's going to be her decision.

Tell her I think that's awesome. Most ladies would go for something softer looking like a 996 cab or a 355 spider. Great to see your wife has some spark. She must be very assertive!

Oh, and one great quote from the meeting was:

"I don't care if my husband fits in the driver's seat, but I do want to make sure he fits in the passenger seat..."

It's funny, my wife, who appreciates cars, and understands my obsessions, has had mixed reactions to several of the Ferraris i've owned (she really did not like the barchetta for some reason). She finds the Diablo 6.0 beautiful, the ride comfortable (and relatively quiet, at least compared to the GT2), and is far more positive about the car than i would have predicted, given it's "bad boy" image.

Um, maybe it was the whole rain incident where she ended up riding with Hutch... :)

Maybe that's why she likes it... :)

You're like 6'1" right? You'll fit ok in Diablo passenger, Murci is spacious, Countach is ridiculously tight.

What Countach did you ride in...? i was in one a year or two ago and it was roomier than most BMWs and Mercedes i've ridden in... The leg room just went on forever...

After a short 6 weeks, the driving evperience of the Murcie is so sweet, smooth and intoxicating. I still appreciate the radical styling of the Diablo.

6'2", almost 6'3" if I stand up straight, but my back and ass have been deformed by sitting on too many airplanes.

Judge, i am smiling for ya here, i wish you the best with whatever Lambo Spicy chooses . look at it this way, it will be cheaper than an F40 and you may get say a Diablo now and then start the 70's Lambo collection to match the Fcars with an Espada, Jalpa, Urraco.... :) i am planning on getting a Jalpa, but i am finalizing ferrari purchase number 3 today :) . Jalpa will have to wait. at least i have you as a mentor :)

( bowing to Spicy..... im not worthy ....... :) )

I guess it was the driver's seat, not the passenger. I couldn't get my legs to fit to be in a position to use the pedals while in a driving position - the wheel was too low and the console too close. I wasn't driving it though, it was at tbakowsky's shop for an engine-out operation. He mentioned you could unbolt and adjust the steering wheel height a little, which would have been necessary. But overall it was a much tighter fit than an Audi TT, and the pillar was only an inch or two from my head.
