    I looked up "Ferrari" and they have had to TM every model's name... 360 Modena 575 etc.

    I think thie "GT California" means something and we should be giving it some serious thought. "F149" is for the birds.

    I think they could just carry over the Barchetta name for the 599 conv. and keep the "GT California" name for the new car. The whole folding hard-top thing just goes in line with it - looking forward to how it comes out!!!

    Interesting nonetheless. Im curious why this hasnt broken more magazine pages???

    When is Ferrari saying the "New Ferrari" will be shown? Have they said Paris yet? It seems that would be the place I'd imagine them to show it.

    If anything, F149 would be the motor type, not the name of the car. Many Ferrari engines are "F" and then a number. The Enzo was F140, the 360 was F131B, the 365 GTC/4 was F101AC, the 400i was F101 DL and so forth.
