the drive-thru shot in this auction is just horrendous http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-Ferrari-Mondial-3-2-Sunroof-Coupe-RARE-MINT_W0QQitemZ350333022427QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item519179b0db
I'm not seeing anything really horrendous. What am I missing? I wouldn't photograph my car for sale at a Sonic or whatever that is, but it's more original than finding some big mansion or mansion-like public building that you don't own and taking photos there -- that's getting pretty old and tired, to the point that it's almost a parody of itself. Low light like in those photos flatters the paint and hides imperfections, but every seller on eBay knows that, and any smart buyer would ask for better photos.
I'm guesstimating the OP is saying the Sonic park-n-eat is a little low class for a Ferrari, rather it should be parked in front of a establishment where menus are held inside an elegant leather folder, printed on cotton bond paper, minimal writing and no prices listed. Sonic's a cool place, Ferrari parked there or not
Am I missing something? What's wrong with a photo outside of a fast food place? I know of an F50 owner that takes his car to get Jack in the box, in addition I have personally gone an In-N-Out drive through in a Scuderia. That was a tight fit!
In-N-Out in my 430 was a regular thing for me and the wife......Funny, since I sold the 430 I hardly go anymore. Anyhow, I dig the Mondial. Ape
Have you ever had an actual horse burger? I did, as a kid, at a McDonalds in Canada. Everything was in French, so the menu might as well have not been there. Needless to say, we all thought something was wrong with our food until a light clicked on in my father's head and he explained exactly what it was that we were eating. I have tasted the flesh of the Scuderia! Back on topic... There's nothing wrong with the pictures. It's nice to see a Ferrari being used. Nika has taken an Enzo through the McDonald's drive-thru in Canada - I wonder if they were still serving horse meat. The auction seller (Scale Details) is a member here - nice guy, knows his stuff. And that is one stunning Mondial. One thing about the ad that amused me was this part right here: "Ready for concours. New Alpine CD, chrome shift knob, metal scuderia shields, K40 radar..."
disagree. Sonic and a few other similar places ARE THE ONLY PLACES WE CAN GO HERE IN SAVANNAH. i dont own the car, and i have only met the owner of the car one time. but those of you that do not live in small southern towns should not throw stones. there simply is no other place to go to. other than visiting someones house . there is no car culture here, and there are no "cars and coffee" meeting places. i believe he has 1 or two children, which is why he has a Mondi in the first place, and its a car he can go out with the whole family in. i have taken all of my cars to the local Sonic or similar at one time or another. its just a car. besides, more people freak out over my "bandit" Trans Am here than anything else i have ever had.
The greatest mistake is posting a picture of a Mondial or 308 with the headlights up. That turns a pretty design into a pile of crap.
I think that's a great looking car. I've seen it here on f-chat a few times and it really makes me want a Mondial. The wheels suit that car perfect.
That is probably one of the nicest Mondials I have ever seen. The only embarrassing thing about this is that some people think there are things you cannot be seen doing because you own a Ferrari. Pretentious = embarrassing.
