It really is a small world. I have been lurking on this forum for a few months as I am a perspective 308 owner. The proper authority to contact on odometer rollback issues is the NHTSA office of Odometer Fraud. I would be very interested in finding out more about this situation as I am one of the Special Agents in Charge of this unit.

Odometer rollbacks are taken seriously and all of us at NHTSA are sworn federal law enforcement Special Agents with arrest authority. Most of us came from one of the other BIG agencies for a better quality of life and the fact that we are car guys. Any time something like this comes up in the classic car realm I am interested.
