so I was reading about the Puro SUV at Jalopnik and this caught my eyes
    https://jalopnik.com/doctor-who-wrecked-ferrari-f40-demands-758-000-payout-1823743405

    18. The Plaintiff is a known collector of Ferrari automobiles, which he makes available for public display and appreciation. The notable absence of the Vehicle is a source of inquisitive inquiry that the Plaintiff finds unsettling and embarrassing. The show absence of the Vehicle is not a matter that the Plaintiff should have to repeatedly deal with on a public basis.
    19. At all material times herein, the Defendant knew that their handling delay would damage the Plaintiff’s reputation within the community of Ferrari collectors and assail his sense of dignity.

I wonder news of this lawsuit reduces the sense of dignity or increase it (because we all know the good doctor has a Ferrari F40)

I think this particular doctor is oblivious to the more severe symptoms of a bruised ego.

Hahaha! That's beyond ridiculous. Can't handle a little embarrassment. I once totaled a BMW motorcycle being stupid. I was too embarrassed to file a claim with my insurance company.

Rebuilt the bike into a custom with a friend instead. It has a clear title to this day.

Cost me a butt load of time and cash, but it also taught me several important lessons.

This guy is a rich doctor and has obviously learned nothing.

I would be a bit leery going to see him

    1. sound judgement: not sure I want someone working on my brain with this thinking
    2. Selfishness: it's all about his happiness. Being a good physician requires some degree of compassion.

Beyond ridiculous. I remember reading something similar about a guy that was demanding $400 per day for loss of use when his car needed a ding on his front bumper fixed because it cost less than renting an exotic. I’m not sure which is more embarrassing.

On both accounts, it shows just how out of touch with reality some people can be.

Some of the comments at the end of the article were priceless.

Somebody tried to "trash" ALL Ferrari owners by being able to spot them "wearing Ferrari shirts, pants, shoes, jackets......a bunch of douchebags" to which somebody asked, "Ferrari makes douchebags now?"

I darned near shot a carbonated beverage out my nose.

I suspect he was just irked at lengthy delays by the insurer and instructed his lawyer to throw whatever **** he could think of at the wall to see what stuck.

Evidently, the presiding Judge didn't think that portion of the complaint was good ****.

    All the best,
    Andrew.
