I want to turn a Ferrari 308 GTB into a Forcefed Monster.... performance, handling, setups, performance, performance.
I dont know where to start, has anyone already attempted a project like this? something similar to the F50 gt1

What can i do and where do i start?
    any suggestions???

once completed i want to track it at Nurburg original, set the fastest time. it would appear Ferrari is being unjustified
by not being able to place well. I find this Hard to Believe!!
Over 60 years of perfection- Ferrari is better than that

I would think that starting with an F50 would be the best way to make a GT1. Turning a 308 into something like that would be like trying to turn a 308 into a F1 car. You would have to replace the body, chassis and engine.

I would love to use the F50, however i think only one ever came Here to South Africa... i think it's in a museum?!
The best we can get our hands on are the F430 scuderia's, considering the price... i wouldn't mod it for a while

You might be able to adapt the steering wheel and a few bits of the wiring harness :)

Best place to start is at the bank. You will spend many times what the car will be worth. It would be easier to try to find something that is already built and go from there.

Agreed. As someone who has done quite a bit of work modifying a 308 for hard track use... You will quickly see $80,000 in total expense and, if your project is more agressive, $100,000 will be easily spent in fast time.

First problem here in SA would be to find a suitable donor car; you don't want to chop up a perfectly good 308, and GTB's are relatively rare. I've been looking for a derelict one and so far came up empty. Nurburgring ideas seem to be a little ambitious, but with enough time and money a 308 can be made very fast.

I agree, i recently found a 360 in england for 55 000 pounds but it has water damage done to it... however it would suite my needs
considering that i was going to rebuild it anyway. I agree that modding a 308 would cost quite a bit for reltively low power gains.
the 360 might be a better buy, novitec has some great Bi-chargers but i don't know if they will be legal for the Norshliefe's 8 hour races.

This kills me because i have a deep love for Ferrari, but they will be to expensive to turn into race production, i have specs on turning
a 1995 M3 into a GTR... parts, chassis, suspention, etc with an engine swap from the 540 V8... It would be close to R650 000 or
$105 000, full spec. This wouldn't even be able to buy me a ferrari 348!!!
The gtr is supprisingly cheaper to try an replicate here in S.A

I'm not sure what im going to do yet!?!?
