You can get basically this setup with Forza2 and 3 monitors (and 3 networked XBox360s). Won't be cheap, but about a third of that price.

Ok, I followed your advice and got version 2.10 now. GT4 now offers 16:9 aspect ratio and 1080. I run the test and tell it to use it, but the game never switches to 16:9. All I get is a compressed 4:3 mode, while my projector projects a big black frame around the picture. In GT HD it works perfectly fine. :(

For those interested in unlocking the stuff in F1:CE, to get the Wiliams Fw06 you need all bronze in time trial mode, for the Williams FW18 you need all silver in time trial mode, for Jerez you need all gold in time trial mode, for the Alfa (can't remember the model) you need to complete a season, and to get the Lotus 49C you need to complete a Grand Prix weekend.

It is my biggest hope for Christmas, but I don't think it's gonna happen. So I will just save for it.

That is normal, it should be that way. You should now tell the projector to stretch it to FULL mode. I do this on my Infocus 4805 and it is great.

Finally figured out why the projector wouldn't stretch it despite numerous attempts at clicking on that button: HDMI is encoded and doesn't allow for that kind of manual intervention.

I switched back to regular video and could do the change in aspect ratio in GT4, but once you have gone HDMI, you never go back. :)
