Finally got my wheels on my car after a restore and changing the offset on the rears. I always thought the GT4 needed al little in the hips to fit the body. I might have gone 1/2" too wide. On the first drive they took a little off the tire from rubbing. I'm getting the inner fenders rolled so compensate. I think it looks pretty mean. I'm not a purist. I think it works as long as its functional.

That looks awesome! How wide are they? Also, instead of rolling the fender, can you just do something to stiffen up the suspension, or is the tire really that close to the fender?

I like it :) These old classics all get a better stance with some wider wheels though preferably with lower suspension.

    More pictures please

Hey guys, thanks for the love. Yeah it rubs pretty bad. I drove straight to one of the best custom shops in the area and he has his best fender roller guy coming in on Tuesday. In the meantime he's adding some vinyl for exotics on Canery Row on Friday.

I'm still running a 225 read but I pushed the offset out 1.5" from where it was. I guess I could get lips and barrels from BBS and do it a half inch less but I'd like to see if I can get it running with out any drastic modification this way first.

New bushes and suspension are my projects for next year. There's a set of bilsteins I've got my eyes on.

One more pic but I'm going to take a bunch next weekend.

As a semi-purist I have only a few concessions to the impulse to mod. This is one. I'm gonna put spacers on my 308 (20mm rear 15mm front). I love the widened stance and if not overdone looks subtle and stock.
