After many months of salt on the roads (creeping death to a '75 Italian market model!) the weather has finally broken and I took the 208 out without fear of corrosion.

I have often questioned, or had questioned, my reasoning for owning such a car given it's performance limitations and cost of ownership.

However, my perseverance proved right today. What a truly wonderful car, what a wonderful drive.

Who else would consider life without an F-car?

The scariest part of ownership is when you finally have the thing bought and you realize that every other car you look at is a boring piece of mass-produced (quality-laden/reliable) garbage.

All of sudden, there's no urge to drop by the Porsche or BMW dealership to look at those empty soul-less conveyances.

I don't know. Whatever comes next is going to have to be pretty special... I think I came to a possible endpoint in my lifetime quest for the Right Car.

A Ferrari is fun- but its not family. Well... my wife suspects my car is my mistress...

My wife tells her friends it would have been cheaper for me to have a mistress rather than a Ferrari. I'm not sure that's really true. ;)

I was just saying the same thing to my girl the other day. Im goin to always have a Ferrari/s in the driveway for the rest of my life. Well......unless something bad happens that costs alot of money and i have to sell it/them. You may never know what can happen of course? They are simply the greatest cars in the world(my world) :p

Fortunately I met my girl in my Ferrari, and she insists I keep it since it was "where we first met".

I suspect it would be cheaper to get a new car/girlfriend, but in truth they both handle so well!

Instead of saying, "i will never not have...",
You could say, I will always....
    or,
    Ferrari is life...

I used to have a guy that worked for me that used to say, " I never can't gain me no weight, no how, no way". Funny, the guy smoked like a chimney, if you took all of the nicotine out of his body, you could probably burry him in a match box.

I am at that point in life that I am planning for my future. In anticipation of failing limbs, I tried to see if a folding wheelchair would fit in the boot of my Boxer.

    It didn't.

So I assume someday I will have to live without the Ferrari. I thought about using it as a casket, but to a tifosi, that would be so wrong.

Having owned one, I don't think I'll ever be Ferrari-less; as long as I can still drive.

    Yes and yes.

One of my first cars was a CRX and I loved that spunky little car. Every time I walked to it my heart rate would go up in anticipation. After I sold it I never had that same feeling for any car again. I was wondering whether I was just getting old or my car choices sucked. Well, I might be getting old, but the heart rate goes up again every time I open that Ferrari door and slide in. No other brand does that for me.

Mabe when I'm to old to drive, I will let the kids in the neighborhood drive me around.

I don't have one (yet) :D but I said hell maybe because I think it would give it up if my wife made me. Love for Girls > love for cars

Maybe the experience of having one would change my mind, I don't know, but that's what I'm thinking right now.
