Good luck with trade! I'm always surprised not to see more swap offers like this: lot's of tax efficiency esp with high sales tax states like NJ. Have you also posted over on rennlist?

You may well find that people want more than that value for a good 993.

Most members of Ferrarichat really don't know their 993 values.

I do, because I got one!

I doubt anyone who knows the value of a 993 would trade + 35K, I don't think the F355 just looking at the images is worth that sort of trade up figure. In fact if I were to trade mine you will have to pay me $200K+ !

I mean no insult to you or your car but as a owner of both a 355 spyder and 964 turbo myself I have a spot for both makes in my heart, but that car of yours MIGHT NOT be worth even $35k before we even discuss a Porsche to go with it? My 355 has 23k and I'm not sure its worth much more than $40K (it's about due for major)

I think the OP has it backwards. His car plus $35k for the 993.

You would have to give your 355 plus $35,000 to get a 993s my friend.

Was gonna say... nice 993s are probably worth more than 355s these days, unless you're comparing a worn out base coupe.

    Maybe an even trade?

i don't think in GA you can claim a tax credit for a trade when its private party..... many other states are likely the same..

Don't believe he got full ask of $65k for that particular car as he claims.

This thread has become a bashing for the 355, really? We know you all like your 993's and you're proud of them, but let's not forget the 355 is still a movie star, period, regardless of values.

He got a lot of money for it for sure if he really got $65k. Isn't that like $20k high?

I also don't believe anyone has bashed his car. Just spoke of value vs another type of car. If value discussions are bashing I apologize to the OP.

I don't see it as bashing 355 values at all.

The initial premise set up a comparison between the 993 and the 335 without fully recognizing the price of each. But the comparison is flawed.

It's more accurate that 993 prices are not fully appreciated in the F-Chat community.

If you gave me $35K and the Ferrari, you can have my 928 GTS.
