    Hello everyone!
    I'm Charles Johnson;
    This is a very enjoyable site, and I'm happy to be a member.
    I typically keep one pet/toy car to appreciate and enjoy.
    My best times are touring in the countryside with straights and turns alone or with my pretty sweet wife, shifting up and down, and hearing the note of the engine, and stopping at cafes for coffee or sandwiches. I enjoy a Ferrari or Maserati as a sports car, but I always keep a Mercedes sedan for daily commuting; they are more practical and draw less of a disturbance. I know some owners enjoy the attention, and I have in the past, but now I enjoy the cars on a more personal level. When I had the 456, people would come unglued around the car in public. I would come out of a restaurant after dinner and people would be surrounding the car taking pictures, posing, and pondering. Sometimes I would join the crowd posing as a spectator just to hear what they were saying. I heard some funny things. I deliberately picked silver rather than red hoping to cause less public disturbance. In silver, you have the attention of the immediate surrounding drivers; in red, you must have the attention of the entire intersection! The moment you touch the throttle all anonymity is lost. For the last four years I have been the happy owner of a black Granturismo and it has been a wonderful car. I enjoy the company of other Ferarri an Maserati owners. They understand the ownership, the enjoyment, the expense, and the experience. And to the fans, please calm down and don't go crazy. Probably the craziest thing that has happened was when I was exiting the marine aquarium store to find a girl admiring my car. She said she loved it so much she wanted to kiss it, so she did, then she literally dropped her shorts and left two bun prints on the front fender. My biggest concern is people accidentally scratching the paint. I try to keep my few cars in very good condition, and I appreciate when people are careful around them too. Overall, people have been great and have a lot of interesting stories.

    I've done some crazy stuff whilst admiring cars, but I'd never presume to leave bun prints one someone else's car!
