So I am out for a drive with the porsche club in my 360 modena, we finish, I head home and I'm followed into our cul-de-sac and get this the guy follows me past our gates all the way to the back of the house where the garages are at. I would never follow someone onto their property. Guy turns out to be about 75 and just wanted to see the car. I did'nt loose it, but I really was not to happy that he drove onto our property.

That's the reason that Bond's DB 5 had the oil slick option!!
Some people (old and young) loose their prospective when they see a F car.

I'm with you... I would never do that either.

Most 75 y/o's would have better manners than that. But look at it this way... you probably made the old guys month.

I get people following me pretty regularly, but no one has had the nerve to go through the guard gate at my neighborhood... yet!

I'm not gonna lie if there is an F-car driving my direction I follow for a little bit, especially in London Ontario as they are super rare, but no way in hell would I even think about driving onto someones property just to see it, especially if they have security gates at the front. Maybe if they stop at a restaurant or something, but never to their house.

While I understand what you're saying, the older I get, the more I start channelling my inner Jack Nicholson. You just start reaching a point in life where you just don't give a damn anymore. Because you're already on the downhill run, you don't get many second chances.

IMO, this is fine. Most time's when I'm getting gas someone comes over to see the car. I like it... sort of a mini car show!

But like you said, driving onto private property is crossing the line IMO.

If I detect someone following me home, I pass by my house and simply "lose" the guy in the neighborhood. I don't like people knowing where my Ferrari sleeps.

I get so used to people following the car, especially since it is ohio, that I do not think to much about it. Usually, they disappear after a couple of miles. But, I did not notice this guy until it was to late. It's a good thing we have safety loops on the gates otherwise it would have closed on his car. If he would have managed to make it where all my babies sleep then the dogs may have had him-that would be messy.

I had someone do the same thing to me, in my 365. They were very apologetic, but lived a couple of blocks away and couldn't believe they were seeing a vintage Ferrari on the road, in our neighborhood.

Then it turned out they own a 330GTC.

It's not something I would do, but I admit I was interested to hear that there is another vintage Ferrari close by.

reminds of the time i had a guy try and run head on into me, now i wasn't driving a ferrari at the time but a BMW. anyway i dove over and tore past him, he flips a 'U' and follows me to my house. i'm heading home and where i was i would have had to drive past him to not go home so i fly home and pull into the garage. he drives right up to the now closed garage door. i'm inside looking for something to defend myself with.

to my imediate left is a 5' 1 1/2" steel prybar, i grab that and then notice the rifle i just picked up from my wifes recently passed grandfather, i grab that too....so here's the picture, i'm standing in a dark closed garage with a steel bar in my left hand and a rifle in my right. meanwhile, Mr. dumbass outside is pounding on the garage door. i decide to give him all hell, i tap the opener and wait for the door to open, he steps back as the door rises and is waiting. now my garage is a tandem, so it's two spaces deep. i'm standing at the back in the dark and he's at the front.

he peers in yelling for the a###ole that lives here, i comply and step forward with the rifle and prybar. he about s%$#&s himself and instantly starts to apologize. he wants me to put down the rifle - no way buddy.
he replies "look i was just trying to let you know you drive to fast"
"really? you followed me here looking to start something, so let's go!"
"no really it's okay, sorry man it's cool"
"so napolean, no war?" (he's all of 5' tall)
"what??, no look - uh um, could you put down the gun?"
"only after i shoot you, what's wrong with you that you'd try and drive me off the road and follow me home?"
"really i'm sorry, i just wanted to slow you down-"
    "by running into me?"
"sorry man i got outa control, really"
"tell you what, let's call the police and go from there"
    "no it's OK"
"no it's not! your tresspassing and looking to cause me harm, i'm calling the cops, or i can shoot you and ask questions later"
at this point i put down the prybar and grab my cell, and call the nieghbor who thankfully happens to be an officer in the gang unit for orange. he comes over and the situation gets resolved pretty quick. the guy apperantly lives locally and gave me his entire information, address, DV#, car info all of it. the reason Mr. bright did what he did was he thought people were driving to fast around his neighborhood and wanted to stop it himself. quick way to get yourself killed if you ask me.

i saw the guy a few weeks later at the park with his faimily and he made it a point to come over and appologize again!. i got lucky with this guy, he could have been a real phsyco and we would have had a gun fight right in the driveway. but i really do not understand what posses people to do this. my only thought on Mr. bright was he had been in the military and figured he could handle any situation, i don't think he ever saw active duty personaly.

this occured yrs ago and i don't think i would respond the same way today, but young and brash looking for fight, you bring it - it's ON!. i'll admit i would take the situation right to the death, i stop when you stop moving or the cops have me cuffed, that was my upbringing. drug dealers in the faimley and living on the wrong side of the tracks makes you think you're the baddest thing going. so i had alot of anger issues to work out.

if you're wondering, yes i drove fast then and didn't care. i never said i was smart or kind, i was selfish and mean. that event did make me change my ways though, you never know who may follow you home. thankfully that guy wasn't as carzy as the next guyt could be. that and a few months later some gang members mistook a buddys car for another rival gang and followed him home and shot him to death in his driveway. so at this point i've shared too much. i'll write a book one day...one day.

Robert - I follow you all the time - you just don't see me... :)

I have had that happen a few times as well - Most come to the end of the Cul-de-sac but not up the drive.

You can never be to careful anymore...

That's because your driveway has that wicked underpanel crushing entry. The whole reason you probably had to go to the dark side to get the adjustable suspension on the gallardo. Speaking of which, arrival date yet on the spider? Oh yes, Custer met the 430 spider driver and maybe he will be on our next drive.

Sell your fcars, move to a empty island stick your head in the sand and hopefully you will get the privacy you deserve. Otherwise, in the land of the "free", i think $$$$ can have your terrible problem permanently resolved.
What was that stupid old fart thinking? Admiring ferraris?, idiot.

I had something similar to that 2 months ago. It didn't get to the extreme as it did for you. The guy thought I was going too fast through our neighborhood and followed me to my house (He was going as fast as me to follow me). We just had a yelling match in my driveway. No weapons like you.

Absolutely agree. Allowing someone to follow you home like this could get you killed, or could set you up for an "after-hours visit". From the standpoint of the guy doing the following, it could also get himself killed from a possibly trigger-happy F-car owner.

A night just about 2 months ago a guy came over to my 360 as I was concentrated looking at my checkbook. I didn't know anyone was next to me until he knocked at my window with his finger rings and scared the hell out of me. I rolled down my window and couldn't help but to say "what the ******* is your damn problem just go away and don't say a word", he was shocked but so was I.
