Heck, with all of this talk about Oprah and her club's book choices in the media lately, I was wondering why we don't have an Ferrarichat Book of The Month club?

We could pick a book relating to Ferrari history, culture or lore and have it for a certain month as a discussion point with its own thread(s) and maybe even subforum if it took off as an idea. With the idea that the discussion could be moderated by one of our historians on the site (or perhaps even the author themselves if possible). Biographies of notables from Enzo to racers, celebrities; also factory histories, books on racing (ie. F1, LeMans, etc).

Maybe this would be a good Silver Subscribed membership option - especially if we had notable figures to be the guest 'moderator' of the review. Perhaps we could even get a group buy rate on the books. This way, we would have an online "Ferrari University" of sorts.

The reception is lukewarm so far, if one response is even that...

Mad Money by Jim Cramer. Never mind Ferrari's history, you want to be able to actually afford one.

LOL... that is a solid idea. As for me, all I seem to read is business/econ non-fiction, so I thought reading books about cars would be a departure.

    Ryan,

Sounds like a great idea. I just purchased two new books, Ferrari by Mailander and Piloti Che Gente (1st edition, English) and I would be interested in hearing other readers' opinions.

And let's agree that if any authors on this reading list have embellished a tiny bit, they can admit to it without any form of reprisal. :)

I think it is a a good idea also......and FWIW the books do not always have to be F-car related.
