So any ideas? I have the ability to optimize my garage for storage of my 355. Does anyone have thoughts on this subject? I am thinking around 65 degrees with 35-40% humidity( as set on a dehumidifyer.

    Eli,

Are you storing it long term? Why not just drive it?

65-75 deg, 50% humidity are the (mostly) magic numbers for most living/non-living things (guitars, cars, plants, people, art, etc.). Wondering what some car collection/museum owners have to say?

I drive the car weekly but given the ability to set up the garage conditions I might as well set them up to optimum standards.

My car seems to enjoy 69.5 F and 52.7% humidity.

I try not to let the garage get lower than 60 in the winter and 85 in the summer. Lately here in the Dallas area I have had the run the heater and ac more than I would like, because of the temperature extremes.

Good thread...I was thinking of asking this question as Ive gotta optimize mine for the ridiculously long, cold, dreaded Canadian winter ahead :(

Just ship it to me here in San Diego. I'll make room for it in my garage - it's always that temp and humidity. :)

    FYI,

You can buy humidity guages on Amazon for about $20. For another $4, you can get a calibration kit.

I found out that my garage is usually 60 degrees and about 60 to 70% humidity. It does seem that the car doesn't care, as long as I take it out for a good drive every couple weeks and heat everything up.

As important that temp or humidity is that you want the windows down 1/2-1 inch so that the interrior breathes. You should also store the car in complete darkness; although a small window harms little. Just don't store the car in front of a big picture window getting a full days sunlight every day--even if the temp and humidity are perfect.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery and it is optimal to remove the battery and store separately.
