    My father is lookin at possibly gettin another convertible... Hes got a 997 S cab right now but would like to have something at his condo in NJ. He wants a usable everyday car that is fun yet practical.
    He doesn't really like the back of the c6, an s2000 is to small, he isn't a huge fan of 350 z's or the crossfire. He wants a manuel gearbox, therefor no slk and he doesn't really like the z4's... He doesn't want something over the top, just something that blends in yet is sporty.... (it has to be a convertible)

    ideas?

    I am not sure if he needs 340hp, I think a 645ci convertable would fit him even better. :)

    You can get a manual gearbox in the new SLKs.

    What's your father's budget for a new vert?

    Some ideas that come to mind:
    Viper
    3 or 6 series BMW
    SLK
    Another Porsche (Boxter or 911)
    Mustang (GT or Shelby)
    Audi TT
    Pontiac Solstice (turbo model)
    Mazda Miata (might be too small for him)

    I like the Audi TT cab...should fit in perfectly

    or a Gallardo spider if it fits the budget :)

    I never thought of a tt or a pontiac....

    There really isn't a budget so to speak, however he wants to blend in with the normal crowd... therefor something flashy is out of the question... (gallardo, viper etc)

    645 isn't a bad idea....


    we'll have to wait and see

    645 no stick. I went through this with someone recently, I suggested a used S4 convertable. They found a great one for around 40K
