Can anyone identify this Ferrari? The photo was taken in 1964. Is that a stripe down the side or trim?

Forget the race car. Oh man, a Rambler station wagon. It doesn't get any better. :)

No, that's not me. If you want a clue I can tell you that the man in the picture was later extensively involved in the Ferrari world here in Atlanta.

OK, mebbe Augie? Doesn't look like a Lola coupe, but mebbe a 151?
Big fenders and E-type style grille fits, but I have no records with me. Online stuff was unhelpful.
Still looks like a young Roger P somewhat. Any more pics Gerald? Carb?

Well! Some of us were still riding bicycles back in 64.

It still kinda looked like a Rambler, though.

So which SP car is in photo 3, Wayne ;)
No wonder I didn't guess GTO and that threw me off. Grrrr. Second guessing instinct is a bad thing.

BUT, all the other pics have 3 nose vents uncovered, even on trailer. Not visible in 1st photo...Hmmmm.

Are you referring to the Barchetta listing? If so, they actually place both cars at the same event as #9 and driven by Grossman. They're wrong on 4453SA.

Yep, I was looking them up...skeptic, you know, found the double listing.
Still nary a pic with nose vent covers in place like orig pic from Gerald.
I put 0798 in my orig post, had to beat you to it...it's in edit line. Love this stuff. Need pic @ VIR with nose vents closed to close the deal.
    How's mit baby?

Of course, Wayne is right as to the driver and the identity of race car #9.

The person who supplied the original photos (who, by the way, is the dude standing by the car in the first photo I posted - not yet identified) also said #9 was S/N 4713.

I am pretty sure that in May 1964, when these pictures were taken, S/N 4453 SA was not red. I believe it was still painted the bronze-gold color (typical of the Ferraris raced by Don Fong) it wore in the September 1963 Bridgehampton race when driven by Dan Gurney.

Also, in 1964 the front end of S/N 4453 was visibly different from S/N 4713. S/N 4453 had auxiliary lights faired into the nose and Don Fong had added a hood scoop to the car in 1963. The car retained the hood scoop for many years.

FWIW I have a copy of the Certificato d'Origine for the car and it give the S/N as 4453/LM.
