Does anyone know how to adjust the idle speed on a 1990 Testarossa? The service manual cd for 1984 -1991 has a diagram showing the location of a "throttle position adjustment screw" in the adjustment of idle speed section , but on my '90 there is none. The manual says the idle speed should be 900 - 1100 RPM, but my car is at 800 and frequently stalls at stops. Otherwise it runs fine.

The idle speed is adjusted with air bypass screws located at rear of the throttle bodies. It's a large brass hex bolt. What ever you do, make very small adjustments. The TR's motor runs like to 6 cylinders engines, so it would be good to know if your fuel mixtures are balanced. Do you have access to a gas analyzer?

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the response. I don't have access to a gas analyzer - is there any other way to check the adjustment?

I think a vacuum guage on each side should work too. But I'm no expert.
