IE SUCKS ! help !!!!

    Ok here is the deal, for some unknown reason I get the famous "page cannot be displayed" mess everytime I try and go to a secure website, (such as any stores checkout page.
    I hate IE, and have ran spybot,and adaware to no avail. can someone PLEASE help me either clear up my IE problem or download another browers that works,
    after doing a search here on the problem I saw that many people recommend Opera or Mozilla, but after downloading them both, we I try and use them, such typing in www.ferrarichat.com, on both browsers I get an error mess that says connection refused.....

    anyone have any ideas?
    I'm on XP pro.

    do you have a firewall? If so you might be blocking SSL. Or it might be somewhere in your security settings.

    go download mozilla. it's a great browser. once you go tabs you'll never go back.

    it ain't 100% perfect, but for the extra 1% or 2% i'm way more comfortable in my control of security settings and the like. WAY less annoying with pop-ups and crapola like that.

    IE is a snakepit of a mess.

    I already did mozilla, but after setting it up, when I tried to do a web search or goto a website it says cannot connect to such and such page :-(
