I threw in the towell on B&M'ing about gas prices last night after popping $53 to fill up my 4Runner. It is what it is and I think we are all screwed in the months to come. I just don't care anymore on how high gas gets. Am I alone here?

    $2.45/gal for Premium here.

Another $.50, well, I don't care much. Every $.50/gal increase is about $320/year for me. Cost of living, what can you do. I can cover the $26 per month.

Bollocks!!! free health care LOL on the NHS you will wait on average 3 years for an op no matter how urgent, unless you go private and pay, and as for the roads, they are the worst in Europe, yet we pay the highest road tax, so STFU :D

Agreed... Let's not forget that everything gets where it's going on a truck... Raw Materials, partially finished goods, completed goods, etc etc.

If it went to $3 and stayed there with little hope of it dropping, it would weigh into my decision for a primary use car when it came time to trade. Even $2+ will probably have an impact as well. But it isn't worth getting rid of a gas sucker like my Liberty, I'll just keep driving it for now and still be money ahead.

Hybrids will continue to gain popularity, even though they cost more to buy. Five years of $3-4 gas, and the average car buyer will change the way they think about SUV's, IMO.

    For toys it doesn't matter.

I certainly care. I drive a Tahoe, and when it starts costing over $40 to fill it up, it gets my attention.

When you take inflation and the US average income into consideration, gas is cheaper now than it was in 1950.

I care because there is NO reason for it. Oil profits are at an all time high.
