Ok today has been filled with bad hold music and annoying "your call is important to us..." messages. If my call is so freeking important then answer the freeeeking phone....

Had to deal with Cingular (not so bad) very quick
SBC phone annoying but not so bad
    and then
CoServe *electric utility* I thought they were the worst untill I had to follow up on my "green Card" that was supposed to be mailed to me almost a year ago and they still haven't managed to get the thing to me. the mail man sent it back saying it was undeliverable. My big azz he manages to deliver the freeking bills every day but never managed to send any of my INS stuff. Now that they are under the paranoid eye of the Homeland Security dep things have gotten worse. the hold music sounds like some bad new age kenny g wanna b with a hairlip.

Is it just me or the "your call is important to us" Bull is just about to make me snap and head to the tower.........

hey, I have to make some of those recordings! It's tough.

If they want to give you an idea of the hold time, it is $$$ to impliment that feature. I had no idea how complex it was until I started doing phone stuff.

Buddy of mine had that problem with Bell in ontario. they claim he made a call that he didn't (no one was there he was on the job) and they did make him pay. he got them back. it was like $250 of long distance BS so he paid it then eveytime he saw a bell truck parked even slightly illegally he wrote a ticket till he was pretty sure he had done $2500.00 worth of parking tickets on bell vehicles.

I found this number for one of their dallas offices. They may be able to give you a number for someone that can do something for you
    Phone: 214-634-4404

EDIT: that number is for their photo place, the next post has a number that is supposed to be their offices.

Ike they have 959959559 numbers and you have to call just the right one for the thing they are doing (different number for different tasks) they do not have the ability to transfer between

after 45 min i now know the Mail Man returned the mail again as undeliverable. i had routed it to the office so this would not happen but MY NAME IS NOT ON OUR MAIL BOX just the magazine so they returned it AGAIN
My name has to be on the box in order for them to deliver it

oh my god i am going to scream!

Oh, I would think a local number would get a person. It's the govt. so I'm sure it is never that simple. lol

My mailman, sorry...mailperson, delivers everyone elses mail to me. This woman doesn't even look at the name. I brought my neighbors mail to them once when this happened and the guy acted like I was bothering him so now I keep his magazines and leave the rest in the box with the flag up. It gets taken, I don't know where it goes.

Hope you get it all worked out. Maybe you can go pick it up somewhere.

I'll walk through scards of half molten glass or even fly Southwest before I give another dime to Alaska Airlines! Aside from being 100% inflexible, their average hold times at their ticket desk ran anywhere from 19 to 45 minutes this week! I would bet the CEO of Alaska has NEVER called their 800 #.

“Your call may be monitored to ensure that we are doing the best job possible.” or some such drivel. What I want to know is if there are enough people to monitor the responses how come no one is available to answer the damn call? Hey! There are about six billion people out there, hire one of them when I call!! Lots of them need the job!

And then there is: "Please listen, as our options have changed". Has every company on earth changed their options?
