Ripped from another site I thought this funny. Anyone who has owned a black or silver car knows this to be true. There is not much better looking than a well detailed black car. <<I own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready. - Blueline>>
It is. My daily (Alfa Romeo) is black. That statement is so true! I voted 'another colour'. Purely because I would like a choice. I have owned a red Ferrari and now a yellow one. Loved both. When searching for my F355 it went, 1st - Rosso/Crema, 2nd Rosso/Nero, 3rd Giallo/Nero and last Nero/Tan. I bought the right one at the time which happened to be yellow. New though, I'd like to decide at the time. F355's do however IMO look best in red or is that just how I'm programmed to think...
"Rosso Corsa" has changed its hue of red over the years with an added hint of orange. Rosso Corsa has become more orange as new models are coming out. I'm Not a fan. The early F40 Rossa Corsas were RED RED. That is Ferrari red to me. However, Ferrari yellows have improved drastically with and added hint of orange to give a little bit of that silky color changing effect where some parts of the panels appear darker transitioning to lighter panels, which helps highlight design and gives definition. I'd order it in yellow with black interior if we're talking about today Image Unavailable, Please Login
jimmym just taught me this. I'm interested to see if I will be able to notice a difference between my 95 when it arrives and my previous 99.
I love my blue (First F-car) and I would not trade it for anything, but red was my first love and always will be. Assuming that we are talking factory colors, the next F-car will definitely be red! If I could do any color I would do something more obnoxious like Lime Green or Neon Orange just to be an ass! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I dont know if Rosso Corsa changed within the 355, but I was speaking in general as the color has slightly changed from 360, 430, 458. Rosso corsa has changed throughout Ferraris history.
Why thank you sir.. I'm not sure what the color is called but the guy that I got the car from had it painted. It was red ironically enough in a former life. He said it was an "official Ferrari Blue" but that is about as vague as the IRS tax code. At an angle in the sun it actually has a deep purple metallic tint to it and I do not know of any "official Ferrari Blue's" that do that. But who knows.
Exactly what i would have. Right now i have seats in cuoio rest in tan with tan carpets. Its the old cuoio which is lighter. I actually like the new better.
Lovely... I'd definitely go with black. If I were to buy a brand new 348 I'd go with either nero or nero metallic and a "light" gray interior. I'd basically order this beauty: Ferrari 348 TS Nero with Grey leather - WalkerSport - Ferrari Specialists I'm actively looking for a 348 right now and I'm looking at the black ones, which are way harder to find than the rosso corsa 348
Ken, Rosso Corsa on the F40 was 300/9 I believe. Rosso Corsa on the F355 is 300/12. Later F355's were Rosso Corsa 322. The reds on the early F355's and F40's are closer. More of a blue/red(blood red). The 322 has more of an orange hue. This was also used on the 360 if I remember correctly.
Ahhh i see. That's very interesting. I did not know. Ive often wondered why some reds on 355s look different than others? What year was the change made? Later year f40s were 300/12. I like 300/9 better.

Cool. Not being a previous Rosso fan, I didn't know the differences with the numbers but did notice the hue change from earlier cars. Robb
Maybe 97 or 98. Ferrari changed from Glasurit to PPG in 1997 I believe. Owners of a Rosso Corsa 97 or 98 F355 would be able to confirm this. I would have to dig through some of my literature to find this information.
