That car is actually black. It belongs to someone who posts on a different forum, not sure if he posts on this one.

I have to agree...I wasn't a huge fan of the Gallardo at first. However, I think it looks great in dark colors....it gives it an evil presence... which of course I like!!!

    Yep :)

Insted of putting the clear 3m protection on the headlights - I special ordered 20% dark headlight 3m coating. Looks pretty wicked doesn't it ;)

Sorry Richard, I dont get it. Why wld you want to conceal the projector lenses? I think they are very attractive. And besides, this hinders night vision, no? Ive always done mods to increase headlamp output which is critical for nightime driving.

I rank this up there with the kids that swap out perfectly good red tail lamps for crappy clear lenses. Pure marketing genius getting kids to buy what they dont need, nothing more.

Feel free to correct me if I have the wrong idea here.

Well - I guess it is personal taste... These are only 20% darkend - when you are standing by the car - believe it or not you can see the headlights clearly - in photos - they look very dark. It only cuts a little into the brightness on low beams and the projection with high beams are not decreased much at all.

I was doing the 3m protection - I like the little darker look - thus I did it... I am also thinking about putting sissor doors and a wing on it as well - maybe some neon underneath... Thoughts :)

The good news with this 3m film (which I also have the clear for the headlights) - I can peel it off if I or the next owner grow tired of it - so it is nothing permanent...

Here is a before and after - honestly - you don't think this looks better darkend ?

I can understand the value of the 3M protection, but fail to see any visual enhancement. To each his own, purely subjective thoughts of course. The G is a great car, and Silver is really sharp!

LOL - I appreciate the humor.

You know I was just jibbing you... :) :)

I actually think it looks good both ways - just a little more sinister with them darkend - but oddly enough some people put smoked taillights - which I looked at but did not prefer ... So I guess this is about the extent of any appearance mods that I would ever do...

However if I were going to keep this more than 1 year - I would consider putting the Muria Corsa kit on it in a couple of years after I got bored with it. I will have to dig up a picture of the silver G with the Corsa kit - it looked pretty sharp - kind of like the difference between the 360 Modena and the 360 CS...

I would say Richards G, was the best shot of the car. I don't like the color (no offense, I like the M&M colors). I think I like RIchard's pic, because I am in love with the house. :)

I think the G shots here, are (as VIk would say) HOT-T-T :D

I'd like to see that kit.

You know I adore your car but, and this may be just from the photos, the headlamps look too dark for me. Well, from the photos they look blacked out.

I prefer the stock way. Maybe I'm just getting old. I used to love add-ons. Now I tend to lean toward stock almost every time... with the acception of wheels and tires.

Does no one have any pics of G-Cars with aftermarket wheels? I'd love to see something like these 5-Star or a Mesh (Like a BBS LM) on a black one (or blue for that matter).

    PhotoShop anyone?

They really look fabulous in motion, though. I was on my way into NYC this morning, on the West Side Hwy, going south, when a yellow G shot up the northbound side- its frontal aspect in motion is fantasic!
