Nuvolari. Although it may not fly in the US, as it sounds like 'New Volare', bringing memories of a very bad car to mind. Neil
Lotusini. I'm just partial to Lotus' lightweight ethos. Can we have an Italian interpretation of the Elise, please?!
I like Casati, it's just an Italian last name. I would use my last name, but it's not Italian. If I had to make my own car brand, I would offer: 1. A completely carbon fiber two door coupe, mid engine V8, striped down interior similar to the Scud and Enzo, it would be the track car/race car. 2. A mid engined v12, made out of carbon fiber, two door with a removable roof(similar to the Carrera GT), with a very luxurious interior, to be a true super car. 3. A two door, 4 seat grand tourer with a front engined v12 offered in a coupe or convertible, to compete with the DB9, DBS, 612, etc. 4. A big, luxury 4 door sedan to compete with the S-class, 7-series, Quattroporte, etc. 5. An average sized SUV, with extreme off-road capabilities, towing, everything needed in an SUV. Frankly, if I could choose I would make my brand German. What do you think? Oh and I would offer each model except for the track car and the supercar in two trims: Luxury and Sport, the differences would be body styling (bumpers), wheels, exhaust, suspension, and thats about it. Cisitalia: What other newly launched brand could say it already has a car in the Museum of Modern Art? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Chrysler! Actually, here's a good trivia question about Italian marques: Identify all Italian marques with names not representing a founder's name or an acronym.
Alfa Romeo is both acronym AND name Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, just ALFA. Later taken over by Nicola Romeo to become Alfa Romeo
Zagato Nice sounding name with a great history. I would make a really funky looking mid engined car like the Lotus with a Subaru WRX motor. 0-60 in 2.5 sec.
Cisitalia is a partial acronym: "Corsorzio Industriale Sportive Italia". Stanguellini is after Vittorio Stanguellini. ISO is one that would qualify.
I think the Grifo name would sell again, but not iso or Rivolta. They were terrible names back then and remain so today. Bizzarrini is cool, but it'a already taken. I think " Castagna" is pretty good. Mangusta was always great because it could kill the Cobra.
Is not Giaur one of those? That's a great name IMHO. That or my last name (which I will not post, but is Italian)
