No I don't. Don't get me wrong, Mika was VERY fast, but not Michael. The famous pass at Spa is brought up all the time, but Mika was just a lot quicker through Eau Rouge and then he just drafted Michael until he could make the pass. Nevertheless, it was a pretty cool pass.

I understand other things came into play, but 7 Formula One World Championships speak for themselves. :D

I'm stuck between Kimi, Eddie Irvine, and James Hunt.
The car wouldn't get developed, but we would we have the fastest drivers and win all the drinking contests.

IS THERE ANYONE THAT WOULDN'T PICK SCHUMACHER IF AVAILABLE? Other than the hardcore Senna fan, who would not hire Schumacher?

I probably wouldn't, because he'd demand a second driver of Massa calibre. Someone mentioned that he might tolerate being partnered with Mika, and that could be true considering Michael was very fond of him and they are friends. Although I must say, I can't picture Michael being content with being beaten by his teammate half the time, especially in qualifying. So it's Schumacher's desire for an inferior teammate that would sway me from hiring him.

Michael probably learned from Alain Prost. Prost was partnered with some of the fastest guys ever. Prost also beat them, especially Mansell. When Prost came back from his sabbatical year, he wanted nothing to do with both Senna and Mansell, and had a veto clause for both in his Williams contract. He settled for a lift on the Mansell clause, but wouldn't partner Ayrton again. He then coasted to his 4th title, when it was said he wasn't the same during his comeback.

Lol, not too good, Senna stopped talking to Stewart after basically, an on air arguement, after Sir Jackie questioned Senna's tactics.

I wouldn't hire MS, you are basically running a one car team if you did hire Michael. He was far too selfish. I would run Prost and Alonso......

Hamilton and Stewart. Two very different men with very different styles. As team I think they would do well.

    That's for a different forum.
As I said in my ORIGINAL Post: if I let Schumacher be eligible, almost everyone would choose him.

Please, let's not turn this into a 'Schumacher and ????' question.

I would not think 2 of these pairs would fit together, but that's just my opinion.
Senna and Villeneuve ??? Which one ? I don't think Gilles would work well with Senna, Jacques might (the Jacques from 10 years ago).

Michael is ineligible as was posted in the first entry, unless you mean Andretti.

How about Mario and Gurney ?

And inferior cars/motors for the competition.
And inferior drivers on other teams (nowhere near as many 'A' Team drivers).
And inferior tires on the competition.

That said, you still have to EARN it, and I have to say MS and Ferrari earned it, they could have messed up just like most other teams have - and still do.
I'd almost like to ask what's a bigger joke, Toyota in F1, or Toyota in nascar, but that's for a different forum itself.

Senna and GV would be a spectacular pairing. Schumacher and Prost would also be top notch though I doubt they would have been able to work together.

Interesting story about Stewart and Clark. Clark was obviously Stewart's hero when he arrived in F1 and he had offers to partner Clark and Graham Hill. He chose to partner with Hill because he felt that Clark would not be able to teach him very much as driving came to him naturally. Graham on the other hand was less of a natural driver and therefore had to approach his racing more cerebrally, so Stewart felt he would learn more as Hill's teammate.

Stewart, Prost and Schumacher strike me as perhaps the three most intellectually gifted drivers, their strengths seem to be their ability to outthink their opponents. Senna and Clark on the other hand I believe were the most naturally gifted drivers, their strength was in their ungodly speed.
