    I've noticed in multiple threads that there's some folk here that don't like Ferraris. Comments such as "they're not worth the money", "they're for posers", etc. etc.

    I happen to not like Japanese cars or modern Camaros. I also don't bother to sign up for those boards and ***** about the cars and people there.

    Why on earth would you sign up for a board for a brand you don't like, and continue to keep posting? I'm just curious, I don't understand the motivation.

    totally agree, if you hate Ferrari's don't bother coming here saying your Lamborghini or chevy is a better car.

    Agree completely the Board is for Ferrari enthusists if you are not go do something else.

    Just a note - some of those people might sign up here for the lambo section (which is really good btw). Personally i love both, and even if i didnt like one, i wouldnt go flaming away, but that could be the draw.

    I think a person who truly dislikes Ferraris shouldn't sign up here, because that would simply be trolling. But there are people who like (and even love) Ferraris who also like other cars. I'm one of those guys. You won't hear me say an unjustified bad thing about an F-car, but the moment you start posting moronic opinions tarring Japanese cars with names like "Jap crap" and "ricer", then you've got a fight on your hands.

    Car enthusiasts should respect one another. Just as I detest seeing F-car haters dissing F-cars, I hate seeing F-car owners unjustifiably dissing other makes. Even on this board. Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of exactly this sort of behaviour. Just because this is an F-board doesn't excuse it, sorry.

    FWIW, we don't let people diss F-cars or other nice makes wantonly on my WRX board.

    And what of those of us who love the company, the historical cars, and think, to some degree, that the company has really lost its way? And have owned a number of the cars. And are not 'dissing' owners. And currently own Lamborghinis?

    Then you're an enthusiast, and not the type of person I'm referring to. And you already know that.

    The board does draw trolls and lambo - power guys, people who like to antagonize. Those I understand. I understand the accounts that exist just to see the pics -- there must be 15,000 of those. It's the guys who aren't quite trolls but who don't like the cars or people and yet still spend time here that confuse me.

    check out the 'discuss' button at the bottom of some of the news articles on 'Yahoo' for a real eye-opener on anger, frustration, etc. Some of the people posting there have serious problems.
    The 'hate' posts you see here not much different. They are designed to push your button: Try to ignore them--otherwise, you've 'empowered' them by reacting exactly the way they hoped.

    ...You would be wrong not to speak-up. Bring back the exotic looks, the mid engine 12, and stop making 360/430's bigger to carry golf clubs.

    I"ll hang-out here for another ten years to see if Ferrari goes back to competing with Lambo, or continues along the lines of the 612 to become another Bentley, or 430 moving still closer to just another 911 style/look.

    When I joined F-chat it was mostly about the 355,348,TR,308.
    I didn't change. Ferrari Did. Fair-weather friends leave when your down. A true friend sticks around and hopes you get back on track. (complaining all the way)

    it's the oldest feeling in the world. Pure jealousy. Hard to say it and even harder for those to admit it. Hell, I am jealous and I own the thing! That's what brings out those comments. People hate to see others with things they do not have. It makes them feel better psychologically to add negativity to our positive mindsets. It's all they have. And, it's even ok by me that they do it because I understand how their mind works. Simple psychology really.

    I do also agree with the other guy that said F car owners should not hate other cars also. I am a true exotic enthusiast and appreciate anything with refinement, technology and quality. I absolutely love the NSX (one of the best cars EVER built), I like Lambo, I love a 1931 3 window coupe streetrod etc...... but the F430 is the only car so far that makes me want to sleep in my garage. :D

    What I've noticed with such posts is that they seem to manifest themselves in a few different forms:

    - Non-owners who aren't in a finanicial spot to persue F-car ownership who are envious of those who do own them & only seek to ruin others fun because of that. Given the chance to own an F-car they'd probably jump at it w/o question however.

    - Brand-loyal fanatics who, no matter what any evidence or experience may prove/disprove, will not be open minded enough to see past the hood of their Chevy/Ford/Lambo/Yugo to give props to Ferrari under any circumstance.

    - Your typical rabble rouser who just wants to start sh*t for the fun of it.

    - Former F-car owners who through their own ignorance & lack of passion for the brand got into F-car ownership thinking from a financial point of view only to find that exotic car ownership isn't cheap. Now they're bitter they sunk a bunch of money into a car that didn't get them laid as much as they thought it would.

    I'm sure I've generalized a bit much, but hell that's basically what I've noticed over the time I've been visiting this board. I'm sure I've left out some types or mischaracterized some of them, but I think you get the gist. Just my $0.02 pesos worth of observations... YMMV ;)
