So, your dealer calls you TODAY (you have to decide based on spy shots, renders, leaked photos, and rumors) and says they have a pre-order spot for an allocation for a Purosangue for you, they need an immediate answer from you or they move “down their list of clients.”
Would you say “yes,” and hand over to them $25-50K as a deposit for an allocation/build spot?
This poll is for the purposes of assessing interest in this vehicle and so please only respond “yes” if you are intending to purchase the car to enjoy, not just trying to predict future demand for a commodity and planning on flipping for a profit.

As much as I’d like to think a dealer would call me and ask if I wanted to buy a new Ferrari, they wouldn’t. BUT IF THEY DID…I cast my vote as a “no”

I would not- While I have no issue with the vehicle and understand the need for Ferrari to have a presence in this space, personally I have no desire to own one and saying yes would just consume am allocation for someone who may really want one.

    Cheers :)

Yes...and I have received that call. I've been told by a couple of dealers that Ferrari has chosen those that have been offered early allocations. I inquired with my dealer about obtaining two allocations for this vehicle about a year ago. At the moment, I've got one confirmed allocation and have placed a deposit. Having two '21 G63's that have been terrible, along with a Cayenne Turbo GT currently in production, I have to say that I'm much more excited about the potential of the Purosangue.

As a shareholder with considerable holdings, I believe in the brand and feel strongly this vehicle is necessary for the trajectory of the business. Unlike others who feel Enzo is spinning in his grave, I happen to believe that he would celebrate this move, in an effort to propel sales and ultimately aid in racing pursuits. Especially given both Porsche and Audi are coming into F1. The SUV's offered by both brands have had an enormous impact on their stability and growth.

Add to this, the uncertainty of whether electrification will hamper Ferrari's lure, the brand may come to rely heavily on the FUV in the coming years. Being too late to the party could also prove incredibly costly. So, while it seems a departure from the essence of what Ferrari has always been known for, I view it as necessary to evolution and progress. I celebrate whatever enables the company to realize success and continue the rich history of building iconic, special, and sought after automobiles...with incredible driving dynamics. Now, given the performance path we're headed down, whether the human body is capable of handling more than say the SF90 can deliver, becomes a bigger question to me than if the FUV is a good idea...

Can you immediately flip it for a profit or sell your allocation?

If so, I would do it in a heartbeat and pocket the cash towards a great car.

If not, no way. I wouldn't be caught dead in any of the luxury "Suv's". Might as well get a diamond encrusted hammer IMO. :)

Some of the latest SUVs can shame hardcore sports cars from just a few years ago on track. It would be a diamond-encrusted hammer of Thor.

I mean if the primary reason for you to eschew a Urus, Cayenne GT, or Purosangue is due to performance shortcomings, then you have very high limits.

    All good.

Again with the performance assumption? :)

The performance SUVs do absolutely nothing for me personally because I find them to be useless, boring marketing exercises aimed at the status obsessed. They sell based solely on the badge IMO. Nothing more than a corporate money grab.

If I need something utilitarian there are many other better options that do what they are intended for. Whether it’s hauling kids and sports equipment or pulling a boat.

Granted they aren’t as glamorous but they are a in essence a tool. Their purpose is right there in the name, “utility”. That’s where the hammer analogy comes in. ;)

However if selling them helps Ferrari win F1 championships or gets them back at Lemans I’m all for it. Lol, they can sell pink penis cars for all I care. Doesn’t mean I have to like them though. Even if they are as you say “faster”. :)

you can flip it or sell it back to your ferrari dealer for a favourable part-ex on something, it depends on the dealer and circumstances :)

If you're reading this you probably know that Ferrari has confirmed a 12 cylinder engine for the Purosangue.

Yes…another reason I’m excited about this new vehicle. Not that I’m tracking an SUV, but the Purosangue will no doubt run circles around the Cayenne Turbo GT I have coming. And, the DBX707 will have nothing for the new thoroughbred either. Soon, SUV’s will be running 9 second 1/4 times. Crazy…

I was offered one and I accepted as well.

I think the V12 version will be produced like a limited series, which only makes the allocation more appealing!

LOL. Ferrari sales marketing at its very best.

Don't be shocked to see these clothing show up at your next local cars and coffee!

Funny...someone here said these new exotic SUV's are useless...I do agree.

I finished a bunch of work on an F12 on Thurday or Friday last week. Went out for an extended road test to be sure everything was fixed.
You wanna talk about a useless car..that thing is it. You simply have zero chance to use even the most minimal amount of performance that machine can deliver on public streets without risking jail. It was actually frustrating. What the heck is the point..have all this power when all your doing a putting around in traffic and sitting a stop lights with everybody else?

Yes the new Ferrari SuV will be useless...just like every other car in Ferrari's line up. So we shouldn't even remotely complain about it.

I don’t mind Range Rovers as much but after having worked for a dealer I would never own one due to reliability.

Besides I need something I can beat the living hell out of without worrying about losing my shirt. Range Rovers are overpriced IMO.

You won't be able to flip the allocation since the invite came from FNA. The day after I placed my deposit I received the FROR for 18 month period.

I signed the FROR as well. But in the paperwork, it does say you are allowed to sell the car through your dealer, at an agreed market value, which is just Ferrari speak for allowing the selling dealer to share the profit with you. It didn't say you can't sell the car, it's just that you need to sell it through your dealer if you do and share the profits with the dealer.

What does sharing the profits look like? Is this a standard consignment fee, or are we talking more like 50/50?
