.... which 10 (or so) of the coolest, rockin-est, lead foot songs would be on it? *My apologies if this has been covered already... I did a quick search and came up empty
Similar topics have been posted, but peoples tastes always change, and I'm interested to see some of the responses myself...
RPM by Sugar Ray would have to be on it. Also, the second song on the Screaming Cheetah Wheelies is good, and maybe one from Monster Magnet. BT
No worries with the thread, I'd be interested in other's responses as well. On the road I really like anything AC/DC (esp. "you shook me all night long") and the Eagles (hotel california, etc. etc.) Some of the Fleetwood Mac songs are great too ("go your own way").
Mine would mostly be techno. Lots of kraftwerk especially "autobahn" I like to listen to techno and classical when I drive.
A long time ago I made some CD's with the songs from the DTM videos. They are listed here http://www.dtmpower.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4327
"Paperthin Hymn" by Anberlin "Open Road Song" by Eve 6 Chevelle songs like "The Red", "Send the Pain Below", and "The Clincher" have helped me break many-a-speed limit too. A couple good Linkin Park songs can be thrown in for good measure as well.
There was a study done for "The most dangerous music to listen too while driving". I believe the winner was Faithless "Insomnia" with some other techno song second.
OK.... I've been working on this a bit today (can't seem to get motivated to work very much... too nice a day outside, I'd rather be driving the F-Car!). Here's my list, far from complete to be sure, and it probably shows my age a bit :\ Some better for driving hard, others better for cruising... Rob Thomas - This is How a Heart Breaks Bon Jovi - Have a Nice Day U2 - Vertigo Sheryl Crow - There Goes the Neighborhood George Thorogood - Bad to the Bone AC/DC - Back in Black Ace of Base - Cruel Summer Allman Brothers - I'm No Angel Hollies - Long Cool Woman Don Henley - Sunset Grill Don Henley - Boys of Summer Eagles - Take it Easy Evanescense - Bring me to Life Big & Rich - Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy (hahaha) REO Speedwagon - Riding the Storm Out Tom Petty - Breakdown Golden Earring - Radar Love The Who - Eminence Front The Who - Love Reign O'er Me Bon Jovi - Who Says You Can't Go Home Fastball - The Way Foghat - Slow Ride Hole - Celebrity Skin Joe Walsh - In the City Joe Walsh - Life's Been Good Lovin' Spoonful - Summer in the City U2 - All Along the Watchtower (great cover version of the classic) Paul McCartney & Wings - Band on the Run
I love house/trance/techno music especially while driving. "Feuer Frei" by Rammstein and "I Will Be Heard" by Hatebreed cause me to take off flying down the highway dangerously swerving through traffic.. but those are rather aggressive driving songs to say the least.
I really liked Feuer Frei, but not so sure about the Hatebreed tune.... not much talent there IMO. Lots of yelling though. Very nice choice... love that guitar!
Can't hear ***** in my 512BB except a screaming flat 12 when driving, get too close to a sound wall my ears ring which is the way it should be, I get more of a rush from the engine noise than any song. I did just buy the top of the line Alpine CD/reciever for it which is just for looks or when the car is stopped and shut off.
I know what you mean... listening to music in the 328 is a good idea in theory, but in practice I find myself turning the stereo off in favor of the engine most of the time. Gotta mix it up sometimes though...
My 328 has a nice stereo and I listen to it at times when driving, the BB forget about it, way too loud.
