I was looking at the ignition advance curves in the Mondial QV workshop manual, and the USA versus the Base ignition MAP/Curves are pretty different.

Looks like the Base set up has a lot more timing at idle, and jumps up pretty quickly with RPM's. Charts are pretty odd, however....

I've looked through the archives and found little info on the QV timing. There are two threads on the 328 Base/US timing and you can change the USA back to base by removing a ground at the ECU.

Is this possible with the QV?

Unfortunately, no. The DigiPlex ECUs must be changed:

    euro 308QV = Marelli DigiPlex MED 803A

    US 308QV = Marelli DigiPlex MED 805A

Thanks Steve. I had just figured out there were different units for the QV's. Too bad there's no way to change the timing......

(Was able to find fchat threads about this on google, that didn't show up when I used the search function here)
