Is there an "alternative" part no. for the Ignition coil og 348 and 355, does other cars use the same coil? /Lars
Is there a problem with using the stock ones? They are not that expensive. Check ebay for deals on new and used ones. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&dfsp=32&from=R40&satitle=ferrari+355+coil&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=98199&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=32%26fsoo%3D2

I don't know how to tell them apart, but these coils are made in Europe as well as knocked off in China, and I'm guessing that there may be quality/performance differences in the two. Just something to keep in mind when buying...
Good point! While I entered a Bosch part number in the above post, the listing does not specifically say what brand it is in the listing, in fact they left it blank. I will ask them. Here are some more detailed specs from Bosch. I like in the description that these coils are designed for "low cost applications..." http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/pdf/components/ignition_coils/2x2.pdf
