Is there a standard amount of ignition cycles to clear a CEL ?

456M sat for about a week or so and upon initial start-up the car exhibited a check engine lamp. I am hoping it is something as simple as a high idle (again) or something simple and that the lamp will “clear itself” after a while.

Car drives fine and I have driven it a few miles and started it maybe 8 times.

Is it possible it will “self resolve” or is that just wishful thinking ? Thanks for any insights guys.

Wishful thinking. If it sets a solid light it is not supposed to go out on its own. A commercial scanner will turn it out and many are not expensive.
