Not sure if this problem is just my car or if anyone has experienced this. I put the key in the ignition and try to turn to start and can't. Has happened about 3 times now. It is very, very hard to turn. Almost to the point I feel like it is going to break. I pull the key out and try again and usually it will turn ok. Kinda baffled any suggestions????

Ive sprayed a little WD-40 down keyholes before to lube them up. Maybe give that a try. Just dont be too messy with it. Maybe the key/or barrel is starting to wear a little? Cheers :)

when a car is turned off and the key is out, when you turn the wheel, it locks the ignition.

Graphite powder?? Maybe, ive never used it for that before. Give it a shot if you want? But the WD should be fine. Ive used it lots of times with no problems at all.

Happens all of the time (I've got a 3 year old who likes to pretend drive when the 348 is parked).

Turn the steering wheel just a little to relieve the pressure on the ignition key (as you're simultaneously turning the ignition key).

    Works every time.

Mine does it once and a while, and it is fine if I push up from underneath slightly with my knee......kinda like an anti theft system for me.

On my other cars sometimes I have to wiggle the steering wheel a little (turning it a little bit left and right) before the key will turn.
