I had an interesting problem with my boxer today. I was driving it and it was running great, and then, it just died. The engine just stopped. I had a similar problem with it before, however, when it happened before, the engine wouldn't turn over at all. That time I discovered that there was a build up of oxidation on the tips of one of the fuses. I changed the fuse and it cranked right up. This time, the engine turned over, but it wouldn't start. It seemed as though it wasn't getting any spark. I had it towed to my house and after it sat for a couple of hours, it fired right up. Any ideas?

Determining spark or no spark would be best when you have the problem. One issue can be the plastic of the stock fuseholder softening on the high current circuits (ignition, fuel pump) after some run time and the riveted connections failing (electrically) -- and then, after cooling, sort of "healing" as the plastic rehardens. Have you inspect the fuseholders for any melting/distortion and/or done any modifications to not rely on the mechanical rivet joints for a good electrical connection? For example, post #7 in this thread:

Do you have the stock Dinoplex ignition? If so, you should review Adrian's www.dinoplex.org site.
