I'm upgrading the 308QV to an Electromotive XDI-2 system, but I want to keep some of the same "look" as stock. I've searched here and on the 'net, but can't find plain (unmarked) ignition wire red vinyl sleeving as a separate item (like on a roll). Anyone know where I can buy it? Ricambi doesn't have it. Rutlands only has it in 24" lengths. I've found rolls of red sleeving but only with brand markings every few inches (Mallory, etc). I can just take the sleeving off an old set of wires I have here, but I'd rather buy enough to completely sleeve the new wires with new material.

The wire jacket is usually made of Silicone. Fairly impervious to solvents. Just take a paper towel lightly doused with acetone and wipe the printing off of the wire. Worked for me, The printing is easily taken off with solvents.

Yup, PLUS be careful WHAT wire you use. Stick with Taylor or the other suggested in the Electromotive manual.

Well, since I bought the kit from Nick, it came with Taylor wires, so I'm fine there. The kit got here yesterday. Either I'll reuse my old sleves, or I found that lacquer thinner is all it takes to clean the white lettering off the spark plug wires so I can get back to the clean red look.

Taylor wires just came with my XDI kit from Nick's Forza... they'll likely be fine -- I just need to get rid of that white lettering... I *don't* like that look.
