just been for a spin in the red bullet came across an 05 plate 430 spyder pulled up next to me in glasgow and i gave him a nod and the ignorant b just turned his head the other way...... if u see him kicking about tell him to pull his head out from up his own arse. ha!!
Just ignore it and don't let it get to you. there are two types of owners 1, Oh look at me, I am rich succesful and look at my P*nis Extension (him) 2, I love Ferraris and I am passionate about what I drive (99% of us on here)
Or possibly he might be driving the latest ''fake'' based on an Mr2 and felt inadequate next to you ;-)
what part of glasgow are you from i was born up there and my current ferrari spent most of oits time in glasgow
I get a local guy in one of those plastic MR2 things keep waving at me, it's like he's truly convinced himself he has a real ferrari now he's bolted half a tonne of fibreglass to his car ... quite scary really.
I sympathise will the posts here. Ideally, when 2 Ferrari pass each other some acknowledgement would take place. But you always put yourself in the firing line when you show out to another Ferrari. Sometimes I have been distracted and missed the frantic wavings of another driver - I feel suitably distressed afterwards and accept that I may have been written off as an arrogant prat. But I certainly would not ignore another Ferrari driver. Not a clue what to do about a driver of a replica waving at you, I guess you should respond. If the driver of an MR2 gave me the thumbs up I would acknowledge them back - out of politeness. The addition of a load of plastic bits and pieces shouldn't make any difference. Obviously the difference here is that you are adding credibility to the replica & the owner may brag down the pub that even real Ferrari owners can't tell the difference. But at the end of the day does it really matter? Let them get on with it - it costs nothing and makes people happy
Yes. By laughing out loudly so he can here me over that roaring 4 cylinder engine with 'Big Bore' Exhaust ;-)
I seen a 360 Spider at a petrol station on Friday so i started taking a few photos when the owner asked me to stop?? i explained my passion and would one day own one and mentioned this site hoping he may join!! his reply?? stop wasting my time and delete those photos before i smash that fu***** camera i deleted them and walked away thinking what a prick.
Maybe he's just being courtious and showing that he is not stuck up his own backside like some real Ferrari owners.
He was a knob mate but the bad thing was there was at least 6 other people who saw this and when they all tell a friend of a friend and so on there will be a few dozen people who think all Ferrari drivers are the same.
A friend of mine already has this attitude to Ferrari owners, we went to the ferrari day at Brands in 2001 and there was someone in a 360 driving really arrogantly through the grounds, regardless of pedestrians children etc.., this memory stuck in his mind ever since, and yes he told a friend who told a friend etc....
What a tosser! When I've been lucky enough to be behind the wheel of a Ferrari, I think people taking photos is great (so long as its the car, not me they're photographing!) it merely tells me that they love the marque - nothing wrong with that. It makes me sick that people think like that. I wouldnt mind betting that he'd borrowed it off his Mum/Dad and didnt want to be seen in it! LOL! Jamie
Had agreat day yesterday. In Knutsford a Murcielago driver followed me. I was about to go right and him left, he looked over and beckoned me to follow. I followed him as best I could for about 10 mins. I thoroughly enjoyed my self though. What a car they are and how honoured I felt. On the way home a young lad aknowledged me in his blue Fiat Coupe. I reckon Italian car owners are by far the best bunch on the whole. However there is 360 around the corner from me and he does not even notice me. Each to their own I guess.
