If you throw rocks at someone, expect rocks to be thrown back. get back in the kiddie pool.

A bit of a silly comment - no? Shouldn't ALL drivers expect to be in front and keeping ALL other drivers behind them?

Forgive my failure to understand how you referencing my subscription status constitutes "throwing rocks" at me, but I still don't get it.

I'll get in the kiddie pool if you go sit in the shade for a while. I think the sun is frying your brain.

Here is a cut and paste from 1 minute ago.

There have been no posts in the last 75 days in this forum.
Try using the controls below to search for any older posts that may exist.

So, maybe I will subscribe if someone can tell me some benefits.

And, the validity of your comments is not dependent on your status. It is the content that counts. (In my book.)

It's just the way it works : it shows no new posts in 75 days , but that is not the case I suppose it's up to yourself whether or not to subscribe, it is not alot of cash and if you get enjoyment out the site it's a way of putting something back into it.

Your right of course with the content, and of course if you have time you can fill your boots with heated debate's in the other sections example: P&R

Don't waste your effort Steve. Some people don't appreciate the hard work that the Administrators did to create the site. The token payment helps to keep the site running and helps pay to upgrade the H/W when needed. If $15 is going to bring their world down then they can remain looking thru the fence. Plus if he says he has a 550 and he can't scrape up $15 for subscription what does that tell you :D

It's not whether or not I can afford it, I just don't care to spend 15 dollars on a site when I'm not going to use what that 15 dollars gets me. What keeps this site running isn't the 15 dollars, it's the adds. Also you're not helping the cause, who would want to be associated with someone who bullies 15 dollars out of somebody for a freaking website. Don't do that, it doesn't work, and it just pisses people off. Now I'm done with this thread, it's way off topic anyway.

Dude, take a deep breath and get your head out of your a*s. I asked a simple question. Most rational people would provide an answer.

In fact, Kraftwerk's answer was very helpful. I always wondered how many members here were able to get their own personal avatar, and now I know. That alone is worth the price of subscription.

As for the "hard work that the Administrators did to create this site," I have a comment. I believe that the administrators are adults and can make adult decisions. They are free to offer their time and effort and in exchange for value. It is not my place to determine what 'value' the administrators demand in return for their work. Perhaps the ad revenue is sufficient. Perhaps the personal pride in a good site is their value. Perhaps it is a combination of things. I will not substitute my judgment for theirs.

They offered me a free subscription and I took the offer. Am I to second-guess their offer of a free site? It is not my place to do that. But . . . maybe my clicks on the advertisers (which I do often) provides them with ad revenue sufficient to defray the costs of my free membership.

    Kraftwerk,

Call the administrator and ask for a commission. Your informative post prompted me to join.

But, I still don't like Button!

I remember when Fchat used to be totally free for years before any subscriptions was introduced. I used to be a member and read many years ago (2002) The content has not changed that much only the car models. The same valid points were made then as they are right now. Very sad that some think that unless one is a subscriber then they have nothing valid to say, and nothing to contribute.

I was just agreeing with you, :D I still can't figure out what you are trying to say in your second sentence. Maybe that is why people don't listen to you. :D

You're doing this site disservice by acting the way you are. I love this site but because of your attitude I don't believe I will ever subscribe, even though I've considered it previously.

    Congrats!
