Ape, good luck on the 599 pursuit and nice to see you on the board. James as others have mentioned on here is a Top Shelf Guy and he has been the best person IMHO to deal with on Ferrari's. Good luck and keep us posted.

 

Ape: yes to buying a 599 and although FoBH is a great dealership, they tend to be on the pricey side. Patience pays. I would decide on exactly what features you want and search the classifieds, etc until it comes up.

I was in the market for a 599 earlier this year (ultimately bought a Bentley because it fit the spec a little better since I wouldn't be the only driver and since I already have a Ferrari).

As for the HGTE, there are mixed review of it for road driving here on Fchat. One owner purchased it in the aftermarket and did a very exhaustive write-up here on Fchat wherein he contrasted the benefits and drawbacks. Not good not bad, just get the right tool for the job.

Prices seem to be pretty stable right now (after huge depreciation a few of years ago) and there are a lot of excellent examples out there. Keep us posted on your search!
