Gentlemen: Isn't it the duty of the FIA to work in the best interest of the fans and the sport, in the same way governments are supposed to exist to provide for the common good of it's citizens? In spite of my distaste for Nascar and Grand-Am (catering to the least common denominator), at least their rules provide for competition, and the winner is nowhere near as predictable as in series run by the FIA and ACO. Nascar sets rules and does not cater to the whims of the manufacturers and the teams. The FIA and ACO do nothing BUT cater to the whims of the manufaturers and the teams! 100 years ago it was about the sport and providing entertainment for the fans. In today's world it is only about creating and avenue for marketing and promotion of product brands. The sport be damned. I thought I would never say this, but I am actually finding Nascar and Grand-Am more interesting than FIA and ACO run events
If your comments are due to the pathetic demonstration of arrogance on June 19 by seven unprofessional teams and one unprepared tire supplier, then you are putting blame on the wrong group. The FIA performed as they should.
