How did the harness feel?? and do you still thinks that a small wind deflector needs to go on in front of the aero screens??
Harnesses feel great, much better than inertia reels. Actually it seemed ok Monday, maybe because I was rugged up. Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
As yesterday was such a lovely day JY and I decided it was a good idea to go for a coffee at Dayboro in the clubbies. I have put the car on the corner weights and it tops the scales at 930KG with fat me in it. The yellow version of Jon's was 850KG with Pete in it. Adjusted the spring platforms and did the the wheel alignment/ castor/ camber. With over 300 hp on tap, they are brisk, traction can be broken in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. There was enough scrotum tightening to not try 4th! I am very happy, with the performance as it get back to bedrock of real driving. There will be more fine tuning for sure, and paint of course, but with the 250 SWB fish gills in either side to ventilate the oil cooler on the RHS and the heat from the muffler on the left, and the rear diffuser now installed the bodywork is finished. It has been a great source of trial and tribulation, frustration etc to design, make, the bodywork, and everything else on the car, and now that it is complete, I have mixed feelings of joy and happiness! Thanks to Peter, Jon, and Greg T,
Many congrats Murray,it's been a longish road since 2007! .....and to put that into a perspective of sorts, that is the same year I met you...on the ACT FNR.
They are so much fun to drive and I am enjoying mine more and more. Planning an overnighted for open top/ similarly stupid cars in the next month or two. Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
I realized when I got home on monday the irony of the fact that we went to three other places to find coffee and only place that was open was next to a chemist!! And peter wasn"t there!! it will be good when its painted and we can get all of them together, moose and all.
