BTW, anyone who has cooling issues on their 456, here is an interesting video on radiator design which might help shed some light on the issue.
Look what UPS brought back from the Twilgiht Zone... I assembled the first one on the spot. This calls for a drink. Did I miss anything while I was gone? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rear shocks are installed and everything torqued. Biggest PITA was getting the shock mount spacers in. Just gotta fiddle with it from both sides. Second biggest was getting the hydro hose installed. Install it last and before EVERYTHING is torqued. Bolt the sway bar to the shock bolt (some models) BEFORE the lower arm is bolted to the hub holder. Ask me know. Front shocks are assembled too. I paid a local street perfomance shop $20 to put the coil-overs on. The rears go on without compression. The fronts are much beefier and require a compressor. The forces are prettey big so I figured let a pro handle that. They got them close to spec. I will fine tune them and start putting them on this week. Things are coming together. Fronts are in and torqued. I might actually be able to pull the rest together tomorrow and fire her up. She’s been on jack stands for 7 months. Never legally driven in Texas. We’ll see. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

What a PITA the fronts. Gotta thread the bolt through 2 shields, 5 shims,2 spacers and the shock eye. It helps to have the little bolt on the ball joint to line the shield and shims up. Not sure my fingers will forgive me.
Back together! Fired her up and took her for a spin. In desperate need of a 4 wheel alignment after replacing all the bushings. Still riding low in the rear and the suspension light is still on. Going to drive her a little farther and go get gas.
A dram Indeed. The ac condenser didn’t go on as planned. Going to run it by the radiator shop for a test. Should all be back together next weekend. Suspension light still won’t go off...
Here are the faults from the WSM. With all the disassembly and cleaning I did, it's possible something didn't get plugged in right. Where to start? I don't suppose there is a cheap iphone app to read the fault codes? BTW, what is #8? Which sensor(s) is that? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My thoughts....Keep it simple first Check the ecu panel in the passenger compartment to see if its actually connected, my cars PO disconnected this to disconnect the entire system when he had a lock up at the actuators, guess to ensure they didn't cycle and cause damage? Pop the front actuators, check the plastic inside, with a light, they may crack and cause the light to go on, then check the rears which are a PITA. Check all connections to them Also ensure battery has a full charge does all kinds of funny stuff to the car
Check your actuators. You may need to go to a shop to find out which corner(s) are not functioning properly. I had the same problem with my re-install and it turned out the front shock washers were installed upside down (they have a recess on one side.) When the washers are upside down the actuators won't seat properly.
My guess is you have one or more bad actuator or broken gear. When you had the shocks out, did you fiddle with the actuators at all? Could also have a twisted up actuator harness. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
But this is no bolt on application. My radiator was welded to oil cooler at the factory. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A bigger problem is the tabs to hold the AC condensor are welded on too. This will be tricky. Probably won't be able to start until after the holdiays
Maybe I try to get a used bolt on oil cooler? Anybody know of a 456 getting parted out? I've checked the breakers...
Ron Davis said it's factory. Said he has seen a few. Another poster here has the same set up. My car has no evidence of damage and the work looks factory. You will notice the placement of the right AC condenser tabs are in between the coolers, but in the factory picuture they are on the right.. A repair would not have moved them as they would not line up with the tabs on the condenser. My car is has a lower assembly number too. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My '95GT has exactly the same radiator with the cooler welded to it. I had it recored and the company who did that also welded the oil cooler back in place as per original. Looks great. How is the cooler pipe for the power steering mounted on your car? Straight to the condensor or on an ugly fat steel strip welded to the frame?
Straight through the condensor using the top two bolts condensor bolts. Who recored your radiator? I could not find anyone to do it.
