    Friday, April 28th is my last day working in Dallas!!! Job over here past 19 months hasn't been bad, but 28 miles each way in traffic is a waste of valuable time. I'm really excited about this new job only 4 miles from my house and a direction opposite of the rush hour flow.

    I had planned a special blow out happy hour my last day over here, but because of the timing the post Rally blow out Saturday will be plenty. :)

    I work less then 12 minutes from my house, anymore than that I would have to kill myself.

    Current job is pure Business Analyst. New job is back more what I did at Sprint as Business Analyst with a little more Project Management. Pay is much better too, but part of the risk with contracting.

    congrats rob. I know what a real plus it is to be close to work, I live less than a mile from mine.
    I feel for my family up there. All of 'em live in McKinney and one drives to DFW, another to the eastern part of Dallas, and the third out to FW for cryin' out loud!

    Thinking of that - I'm a little depressed to find out that the Irish Pub is not going into Town Square afterall. I guess I will just have to open the "Golden Gate Social Club". I can't get Lena to visit X's and O's any more after going there with her and one of our guy friends. She went to the bathroom and a flock of 30 something divorcee's descended upon us asking who was the single one. I didn't mind, but she was not impressed with the aggressive prowlers... :)

    X's and O's is a very aggressive place. Jennie and her sister were a little scared. MarkPDX and I enjoyed it though. :) They actually have had a fight or two. Who would guess from yuppie Southlake Town Center. :D

    Like you, I am SO disappointed the Irish Pub isn't going in. Snuffers and Brio will have decent bars. Brio and Cheesecake Factory a nice patio.

    Congrats on the move. I live in McKinney now and office in downtown as I do most of my work down this way. I've put almost 8000 miles on my truck since mid Feb. I'm jealous of your commute.

    I've paid the price, apx. 23,000 miles just commuting past 19 months. I think the 170k mile BMW will be retired.
