Curious to know what the market is like for LP640 Roadster, 2008 or 2009 models, mileage varying from 3K~10K . I want to know what I should pay for one etc. I prefer White, Red, Orange, not sure if this will increase or decrease in value.

Here are a few ebay examples I'm really interested in. Please share your thoughts and let me know what is a fair price for them. p.s. I already own a Ferrari 360 spider, so I know what is involved in owning an exotic etc, however im very new to the Lambo world, hoping the reliability is same or close to F-cars

    onto the examples..

In my experience, asking prices are more directly related to 'added value' options/colors then year or mileage (other then the at the extremes, naturally). For example, 6 speeds command a premium, as do well optioned interiors. These factors can flux price by as much as 30k.

Modern Lambos can theoretically be reliable, provided maintenance is up to date and the car is well cared for. PPI's are essential as always.

I will say V12 Lambo parts prices tend to surprise me, even relative to Ferrari prices!

There are very few 09's as this was the last year for the Lp640. So you will pay more for an 09. Color plays the most important factor in Lambo sales figures...so you need to decide what color you WANT and focus on that...unless you are more interested in just finding the "deal". If it's the deal you're chasing, then pick an off color like Red, While looking ok on the car, has a much lower retail sales value than say Pearl Orange.

Haven't seen any manual six speed lp's for 09, especially a roadster. Not to say that there isn't one or two, just haven't seen one. Most all will have Q-citera stictching and Hermera Wheels...lesser optioned cars will have Hercules wheels on them. Carbon Fiber interior package and CCB's will drive the price point up as will any of the three stage paint colors, pearl orange, balloon white, pearl yellow or verde ithica. Highest price point has been blue monterey and there are only a handful of those out there.

Price point is what you're willing to pay for what you want. Best to determine that and then go shopping. As far as reliable, in my experience, Lambos are much more reliable than Ferrari's and owners tend to be less uptight.

    Good luck with your search.

PS. Stay away from example #4. Do your research on that dealer. Plus the car has aftermarket wheels and they look too big as it is, so expect either a front diff issue, transmission issue, or E-gear issue in short order, which may also explain the price.

Per dealer inquires and some research on my own - manual gear boxes are no longer available on 2008 or 2009. its all paddle shifters. In the first 3 examples what is a reasonable price for them, feel free to PM me please if it helps to talk pricing. I just need to know what NOT to pay over for. I'm not interested in an abused lambo, so if it makes sense to fork out an extra $15K more for less mileage and than be it. Some of the LP-640 have carbon fiber interior, and some do not. Some have CCB and some do not. Also one interesting thing is, some 2008 have the rear glass so you can see the engine bay, I was told that lambo made it a standard on 2009. I'm really liking that white and orange so far its looking like white. would resale value be an issue as well. p.s. I was told to stay away from yellow and odd colors as they have poor resale value?

There are a few 2010 SV's with manual gear boxes. I have seen many 2008's and a few 2009's with a manual gear box. I have a 2007 manual LP640 - awesome car!

Murci is a very reliable car and requires little maintenance; fluids, clutch every 40k miles, valve adjust every 30k, rear tires every 10-15k. There are a few minor things that seem to go wrong, but nothing common comes to mind on the LP. It seems the most finicky area of the cars is the egear components, so if you can hunt down a manual, there is even less to break.

Since you're in Chicago, I HIGHLY suggest a coupe over a roadster. Your days will be limited with a roadster compared to a coupe and if you take the car into the city, a coupe has much more security.

Like others said, color and options play into asking price. I spent a $30k premium for a manual/ccb/carbon interior/engine glass/color over an egear car without those options and a standard color (same year and similar miles).
