Congratulations!! She's a real beauty! Enjoy and keep smiling!:)
Congrats! I have a 2000 360 (manual) I bought after meeting Rich and then being very motivated to make it happen! He jokes that meeting him cost me a lot of money- ha! Hopefully we'll see you out in Chatham at the C&C meets! Since it's winter, if you didn't get one of these yet, get it for the the car will sit for longer than a few weeks...don't bother even starting the car unless you intend to drive it for a good 15+ minutes to get the oil warmed up (i.e. don't just start it and idle in the garage as that doesn't help anything, just leave it plugged in for the winter if you're not going to be driving it). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-Deltran-Battery-Tender-Plus-12-Volt-1-25A-CHARGER-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem230da6e1e1QQitemZ150552895969QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Good luck with her!
Thanks! I wish you guys didn't always meet up so early lol, but i will definitely try to make it to one. The car actually has a built in tender that the previous owner had installed it sits on the floor near the center space under the dash. It's great I just have to plug a power cord in and the battery stays charged. =)
Thanks, and yes it was! We've been killed here in the northeast this year with bad weather, and I sped up my purchase by a day because of a possible impending winter storm coming today or tomorrow. Thankfully while there was salt on the road during the 100+ mile drive back home, it was very dry out and the car hardly got any on it. It had also been recently detailed so it was protected with a nice coating of wax.
When I got mine the advice was "Drive it a lot...then drive it some more." I'll pass that on to you!!! Tom
Very cool story to hear. It's nice to know there are people out there willing to help expecting nothing in return. I can't imagine your excitement. And, thanks for the motivation. Every one of these threads keeps me going toward reaching my goal. Congrats!
People ususally there until maybe 11ish....early is the only reason it works for many of us (so we still have the whole weekend day ahead of us), but I hear you- 8:30 or 9AM weekend meets wouldn't have worked for me in my younger days when I'd be getting home from the bar at 3AM You should be OK with the car in the spring/driving season without plugging it in if you use the car every week or 2 or 3, but any more than that I'd plug it in.
car looks great. is the maserati yours as well? i'll have to keep a look out for you on the roads. too bad the weather sucks so bad this winter already.
Meeting Rich has cost many people lots of money ... Ro, that was fast ...yes sister cars mine is red on black with red carpet and calipers. You need the challenge grill Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rmani, I just got my red/tan 360 6-speed last Friday, so I know the excitement you are feeling. Man, what a car it is. I took mine out for a 2 1/2 hour drive on Sunday afternoon. It was unbelievable how well the car handles. This is a REAL sports car, that is all I could keep saying to myself. Enjoy bro'...I know you will! Erik
Remember the words of Riley in the second National Treasure movie as he was sitting in his Red 360: "I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!" Congratulations and enjoy it totally.
Congratulations! We have very similar stories, I have been wanting/looking for a Ferrari for awhile. I purchased a 2001 Modena F1 today! I am actually sitting in the Newark airport right now getting ready to fly home to Texas after inspecting/ purchasing. This will be my first Ferrari too! I can't believe it! Unfortunately I wont have mine until next week since it will need to be delivered in an enclosed carrier. It is red with black interior, I will post pics next week and a formal introduction. Did your car come from Texas? That would be funny since mine is here in Jersey! Enjoy the car... wish I had mine already!
