I have a question about these cars..as this is my first. It seems there is a Bosch 2.7 and a 5.2 in where one version breathes through two MAF's and the other through one. Why did they ever make two different ones and especially with one breathing through one MAF? Is there any possible way to convert from the single MAF to the twin seperate one? Thanks

Unfortunately only the 95's had the 2.7 and dual air intakes - 96 - 99 had 1. I bought the 95 for this and also the ODBI not ODBII which is a little easier to tweak if you are going to use test pipes for the track or do any software mods.

Take a look for a well sorted 95 - if that interest you - I have been thrilled with mine! Outside of a few small advantages and about 5 HP - you will not notice much difference between the 95 and 99...

    Hi,

Thanks for your response. I also have a Toyota Supra Twin turbo. It will be like comparing apple to oranges...but on that car the OBDII is actually better because the ECU was faster and learned better. OBDI somewhere around the 700HP levels the OBDI has problems in which the OBDII does not. But of course these are two different cars so probably doesnt matter. But other then that just using oxygen sensor simulators got rid of the check engine light problem. Im hoping I could do the same if I replace the cats with test pipes on F355. Also have you heard of anyone being able to convert from single MAF to twin on later models? Thanks
