All the shows out now that are trying their best to mirror the sucess of Americal Idol are just not cuting it. I have watched Dancing with the Stars, Skating with a Celebrity, etc., and these shows are a weak attempt to gain TV market share. IMO, they are boring.

Why do these production companies have to jump on this bandwagon thinking that their shows will be so hot? Is the American public that tired at night to be in a position to really enjoy this dribble? Regarding the skating show, it's more than clear that the production company has tried to find an equal to Simon with the older gentleman judge. Sorry, I just want to puke.

    Anyone with me?

American Idol ... god awful show. I have such HATRED for that show for SOME reason. The idea is fine but the schemes that they pull to make people watch (ie: crappy singers on TV so people will watch then criticize them for cheap laughs, the shi**y judges). Gahh!!!

Actually, Dancing with the Stars is apparently doing quite well. My wife loves that show, and I don't mind it. I am not sure why my wife watches, but I like it because:

    1) Some folks look like fools (Which makes me feel better about my lack of talent :)
    2) Those women are HOT. TONED. And basically dancing in bathing suits...

    HMMMM...

No kidding. How about that Stacy Keebler? Sheesh, I might start watching women's wrestling after DWTS is over.

She is incredibly hot. And an amazing dancer... Her legs seem to stretch to infinity... :)

I also love watching the rapper dance. He is horrible. But have to give him credit for doing it . . . I can't imagine I would look much better.

In regards to Skating with the Stars. This show doesn't do it for me. The announcers are irritating (and their height disparity drives me nuts)...

Hey, how do you guys keep the women in DWTS straights. In my mind it goes something like this:

    1) The super hot wrestler
    2) The chick with the really high gum line and short hair...
    3) The chunky one
    4) The one with 1 collagen injection too many into her lips
    5) The polish looking one ( :) ).
    6) The old one...

Idol won't be as entertaining when they actually start competing with each other. Watching people fail is fun.

I refuse to watch anything with "Dancing" or "Skating" in the title unless I'm absolutely forced to, and even then I'm pretty much resolved to the fact that it sucks from beginning to end.

My wife and I are actually big fans of Dancing with the Stars. Back in our college days, we used to compete in collegiate competitions which were a blast. So having done ballroom dancing before, you definitely have a better appreciation of what those celeberties are going through in order to dance the way they do. And I also have to agree with those who think Stacy Kiebler is an absolutely amazing dancer. I've never seen an amatuer pick up the moves and dance with such grace in such a short period of time.
