Car is in for some work with tech (exhaust, headers, clutch). He's discovered that the immobiliser is inconsistently disarming itself after a period (can't say I noticed it before).

When arming with the remote fob, dash immobiliser light will come on however after a period (hours) light will turn off and car can be started without disarming with remote.

Tech has taken the engine ECUs and 2 immobiliser modules out of car and placed it in another 360 and was able to replicate same issues on that car.

He's considering using the services of these people to have the immobiliser units replaced:

Curious how reliable these modules are and anyone has come across this issue.

You should send your ECUs out for forensics. We've been trying to find out how to bypass them to prevent our cars from starting lol

ECU Doctor already has a bypass module for the immobilizer.

Thanks Terry. I didn't know the bypass was discovered for the 360 ecus. Could be a game changer.

Terry is not correct, I spoke to them and they don't have a 360 bypass, they have worked on it unsuccesfully and I got the impression it is not going to happen.

Wow, I haven't spoken to them but their ad would suggest that they do:

What's the point of replacing the one device that becomes inconsistent after 15 years with another that would likely be same?

I think most of us are looking for a way to remove it completely and not end up stuck at some point.

I think it is for most people with only 1 fob and 1 key.
I had the same but paid my $1500 and sent my ECU to Australia. Now I have 3 fobs incl a red one and the PIN. Every now and then I use the PIN to disarm and start the car.

When did you speak to them? The bypass has been available for a couple of months.

I spoke with George today. It is available for the 360. I wrote asking about the availability and instead of writing a response he called me.
