Does anyone have any insight to the impending euro pedestrian crash standards and how they are going to effect ferrari design????

i read the wedge front designs the many of the modern sports cars have are going to have difficulty meeting these new requirements and shapes such as the front of the vw beetle are where design are going to have to go......

My understanding is that the small volume manufacturers, like Ferrai will be excempt from this new rule.

As with all regulations , it will take a while to sort out all the details. Remember the first responses to the bumper laws back in the 70's ? Or some of the more bizarre solutions to the CHIMSL's ( center high mounted stoplights) ? With time everyone will rise to the challenge and develop designs that look great and meet all the requirements.I don't know yet if there will ultimately be any companies exempted from the requirements.
