Import/Export US/EU FF/Lusso

I am currently living in the US, but planning to relocate to Europe (Germany/Switzerland) in 2021.

What's the cost of potential modifications I will be hit in Europe with a US spec car?

I am asking myself if I should buy an FF or Lusso here or if it is better to wait until I am in Europe.

Appreciate some insights from people who have done it. Spoke with the Ferrari Silicon Valley dealer, but they said they have no experience with import/export.

 

Taxes & rules are different between Switzerland and Germany but neither will make it easy - just buy locally

 

I don’t think there is any mods need to be done. You need to have amber turning lights but I believe you have it on the car today? It also needs to show km/h but it does that as well I believe through choices in the menu. Otherwise there are special tax relief when you import it as “moving goods”, at least to EU, not sure about Switzerland. A US imported car will always be worth a lot less if your planning to sell it later on in Europe.

 

You will need to look at there customs rules.
But i bet if you a american citizen there will different rules vs a german or swiss citizen.
