Hey guys, first let me apologize for being a prick who only writes on the board once he needs help

I've recently acquired a 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider (year built - 2012), as i'm constantly busy - i did a minor import (on the very first days) from USB and it worked just fine..

Today I've found couple of hours to get all my favorite tracks and albums sorted and had initiated an import. As I realized it took quite a long time, i wanted to stop the process and start it once again with just few folders.. so i have stopped the process. From that moment on, it freezes on the import (not showing the progress percentage, just a blank "import from USB" screen and the stop button) and i can't seem to have it released, even if i try to "stop" it numerous times.

I did remove the USB stick.. as well turned off the car (infotainment system too) but it is still stuck on import once i switch it on again. mp3 files are playing, all other functions are ok as well, but can't seem to import any further files anymore.

Any idea what went wrong and how to solve it? (is there a hard reset for media/infotainment)

    Thank you very much!
    Chris

I'm a new owner as well, so I'm not sure how to import the files yet, but maybe it's worth it to delete all the files you already loaded, then try to put all the files you want all at once?

hey bud, thanks for your quick reply. i've tried that too.. it is a software bug. i'm thinking maybe to remove the battery or the fuse in order to reset the audio system, as i can't seem to find a way to have it rebooted. cheers!

Hmmmm, not sure. Maybe someone with experience can chime in. When I get a chance, I'll try to load stuff on the drive to see what happens.
Just a thought, is it possible that there is a file on the drive that the car doesn't like?

Thanks buddy, i think it's more related to the fact that i've stopped the process in the middle.. it caused some kinda glitch in the software. i have a feeling there's nothing else to do than rebooting the infotainment system at this point. (the files were all solid mp3 files)

Oh boy, sorry, I'm out of ideas. Hopefully someone who has either had this issue, or works on these cars, can chime in to help you out.
Please let us know if you find a solution.

I just thought of something else....Maybe you are using a USB that has a newer standard than the car can handle? I have had weird issues like this when using CF cards on cameras.
